MainStay Suites Airport

The airport location is enhanced by the avaiability of mall shopping withiin walking distance. It worked well formy visit during the Christmas shopping period.

I stayed for one night on a school related trip. The hotel staff (especially [...], she was great!) were very friendly and helpful! This location does not have a pool, however it shares pool use with a neighboring hotel. I did plenty of local shopping and ate at two local restaurants. This hotel has a great location at the end of a street so there is minimal traffic yet is it within walking distance of the mall and two dozen restaurants including olive garden, texas steak house, red robin, panera bread and way more! I was minutes from the Roanoke airport and lots of local entertainment. My room was very nice and clean. I loved the pillows! The small kitchenette was furnished with pots, pans and dishes! My morning wake up call was an actual person and not some computer. The breakfast was good, loved the waffles! This would be an excellent hotel for extended stays! Overall I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

Everything was incredibly nice. The kitchette was stocked with coffee and popcorn! Something that I wasn't expecting. The decor was a little outdated but all of the amenities were great! The breakfast had so many options - not like most hotels.

Overall a great hotel in a great location, a great room for the price. The insulation in the walls between rooms could have been a little better. You could hear guests on either side. Not a huge problem because the guests that night were quiet. Other than that, a great room. I will definetly stay there again.

Great, large room; a good value for the price. Had a full size 'fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, etc. We also enjoyed the nice, free breakfast that included eggs, sasage, bagels, toast, waffles, cereal, etc. The cappachino/latte machine was out of "powder" to make the drinks, but there was juice. Big problem - the room smelled like an ash tray. It was pretty bad. We were only there for one night, so we didn't complain about it to the front desk - maybe they would have taken care of it. They were soooo nice at the front desk.
