Worked for Me
I stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway. My room was really nice. Had all the amenities I liked like the microwave and fridge. My TV was a little fuzzy which I didn't care for. The staff was pretty friendly. Breakfast selection was really limited. Be nice if that was expanded. Any need I had, the front desk helped with. Loved that they had stuff at the desk, cause I forgot toothpaste. Saved me! I liked the hotel. I'd stay again.

A Great Value
Right off the bat we had a fast check in. The guy at the desk was very friendly. The room was clean and cheery, Close to restaurants and gas stations. We were hungry for pizza later that evening and I called to the front desk and the worker gave us the number of a pizza place that delivered. Fast check out. Overall a great place.

Stink bugs and empty promises
The rooms were not ready when we arrived at noon, but we were promised two Non Smoking rooms next to each other when we returned. BUT when we came back to check in the only thing they had left was two on the same floor, and at opposite ends of the walkway! One was a very smelly Smoking room and the other was infested with Stink Bugs (8+). No other rooms available. Besides the bugs and the smell the rooms were clean enough.

Best motel I've stayed at in this region
Nearly every summer, I stay one night in the Roanoke area on my drive down to the mountains. The Days Inn was the best experience I've had: clean room, nice breakfast. I would stay here again. the only problem was all the ice machines were out of service and the staff did not provide a scoop to get ice from a cooler at the front desk, so people put their hands in there. Yuk! On a positive note, the sausage biscuit and gravy at breakfast was tasty.

Good Budget Deal
We used this hotel at exit 146 as we had a funeral to attend in Tennessee. We stayed two nights-Sunday and drove Monday to TN and returned Monday night before returning home. Quick and easy access off I-81 very quiet exit. Nothing fancy just comfortable.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Gander Mountain is behind this hotel but for a longer drive if you aretraveling further North be sure to stop at exit 222 Mrs. Rowe's restaurant. Southern Living Magazine in 2005 rated it as one of the top restaurants in the south. It is delicious. HUGE cinnamon buns with pecans on top:)

Nice place for something simple
My experience was very pleasant. I was in virginia for a Virginia Tech football game however I booked late so this was the closest place with a vacancy. It was out of the way but still nice, especially because it was far enough not to have to deal with the rowdy college crowd after the game. The hotel was very clean and enjoyable. The only inconvenience was the light in the bathroom which did not work properly. You had to flip the switch 2.5 times to turn on the light. This did however become somewhat comical so it did not bother me. This trip compared with others I've taken seems to rate on the average/above average side.

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
People in Virginia don't stay up late so if you plan on eating/snacking late at night, make sure to pick up some things to keep in your room. There were a lot of places to eat nearby, just none that were open past 9pm.
