Excellent Business Hotel
The hotel is convenient to the airport and has a shuttle that will pick you up. The room are above average and the staff is great. This the second time I have used this hotel and will be using it again for a business meeting.

Ripped off!
My brother came in town for Thanksgiving & rented rm at Wyndham since it was 2 minutes from our house. I was surprised we were charged the rm charge as well as $50 per day as a deposit. On the 2nd day I saw that the hotel charged an additional $150 AND said they were keeping the $100 they'd already charged as a deposit for a $250 cleaning fee. They claimed someone smoked in the room. I have severe asthma and my brother is a vegan yoga instructor who doesnt condone smoking. When I asked what process was to prove it was our room they said they take housekeeping staff word for it. They said a housekeeper brought an ashtray w/ashes.in.it to the.front desk & said it was our room. (So no way to 'prove' which room. And furthermore...who puts an ashtray in a non.smoking room??!) They wouldnt take off charge until I went through housekeeping manager, hotel manager, AND general manager. I had to fight the charge w/my bank. So what I planned as a $150 stay for 2 nights wound up costing me $400 on my card. This was Black Friday weekend & caused a HUGE problem. I checked him out & checked him in to the Microtel 1 mile away. No deposit, cheaper, & friendlier staff. Wish I had done that from beginning! I feel like since I paid nearly 1/2 what the room usually rents for, they charged me this bogus charge that I would have to fight to try to recoup their money. I also was unaware when.I booked that an extra $50/night would be held/charged to my card & not released for 5 days.

One of the worst hotel rooms and service I ever experienced. Room was dirty; woman's hair on the bathtub, hairpin on the counter, television cable broken and no one showed up to look at it until I called back. The room was noisy from the air conditioners outside the room. Service was bad too. The front desk did not care at all about my complaint regarding the room.

Good value but noisy
Overall a good experience - very friendly staff and good value. Only complaints were the noise (doors/walls were very thin and music/noise from pool area) and the pillows were not very comfortable (there is such a thing as *too* fluffy). Good fruit and cereal selection at continental breakfast, but paying $6 for "hot breakfast" (eggs, sausage, biscuits) seemed to be a bit of a ripoff. Overall a good stay though!

Downtown Richmond is only 10 minutes away (minus traffic) and has lots of fun and FREE activities like: Canal Walk, Hollywood Cemetery, State Capitol (beautiful!), and our favorite - the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

The General
Lovely staff
I was in and out at all times of the day and night. Despite some glitches (out of their control), the staff were attentive and helpful. They answered questions and offered suggestions when asked. They were solicitous and courteous no matter the hour!

Good Place to Stay
We flew in at 11:00 PM and needed sleep. Check-in was easy. The shuttle from the airport was waiting when we arrived. The room was clean and quiet. The free cont. breakfast was good as well. $5 to upgrade to a full breakfast was more than worth it. The shuttle back to the airport was right on time. It was a great stay. Good value. The front dest was friendly and efficient.

On prior visits cleanliness was not an issue - this trip the hallways were very dirty. Had to go to front desk to get a hair dryer (with wet hair) because staff could not deliver it to room.
