My husband and i had a wonderful stay at The Omni. Our room was lovely and the location of the hotel was perfect for a holiday feeling! Decorations and good restaurants galore. The Hard Shell restaurant...within walking distance... was excellent for dinner I completely recommend this hotel.

Fabulous hotel in a great city
The room was extremely nice with everything included that you could possibly want. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and great service. We visited a lot of the historical sites in the area and although our stay this time was short, we decided we would come back again very soon. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Loved this place
I was there for a Mary Kay Cosmetic Convention and the rooms at the Omni for myself and my unit members were such a wonderful value. And, the staff at this hotel was the best! From checking in, the staff was great. The breakfast buffet was "to live for" and our wait staff encouraged us to take some with us "for the road," by giving us a take-out box with utensils for our fruit for a snack later on in the day - so thoughtful. And when we were getting our cars from the valet, one of us had a problem with the car, but the valets were so wonderful and took care of the problem with professionalism and courtesy. I will DEFINITELY stay @ the Richmond Omni whenever I go to Richmond for the night! I highly recommend it.

The most expensive, cheap hotel i've ever stayed at!!
My husband and I booked a room here, b/c we were going to a concert at The National. When we pulled up, and then walked into the lobby, I was very impressed; the place is gorgeous! There's a Starbucks, an Italian restaurant; gorgeous lobby. The room was cozy, nice big tv, super comfy bed; nice mini bar, etc. Pool was great and heated; but would've been nice to have a jacuzzi there too. But for such a NICE hotel; you have to PAY FOR EVERY LITTLE THING!! You have to PAY TO PARK, THE TV HAS MUSIC CHANNELS, BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY TO LISTEN, YOU PAY IF YOU WANT WI-FI, PAY FOR BREAKFAST (11.00 FOR A BAGLE AND COFFEE!!), THERE ARE MOVIE'S YOU CAN ORDER, SOME OF WHICH ARE $17.99 (TO WATCH A MOVIE IN YOUR ROOM!!), AND FORGET ABOUT ROOM SERVICE - $23.00 WE PAID FOR A PIZZA!!!! I just was floored at how expensive everything in that hotel was, and what they charged you for. Very disappointed. Should've booked a cheaper hotel and gotten free breakfast and wi-fi at least, and not had to pay to park my car!! That's absurd!! YOU'RE PAYING FOR A ROOM, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR CAR TO STAY TOO! AND $21.00 A NIGHT AT THAT!! WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH SOME OF THE STAFF EITHER, VERY RUDE, JUST AWFUL. THEY MANAGED TO RUIN OUR ONCE IN A BLUE MOON GETAWAY:(

Sorely dissapointed
You don't get what you pay for
Reserved a club level room on the 18-19th floor for an extra $40 per night. My 3:00 check-in time turned into 4:15. The tub wouldn't drain. The cabinet door wouldn't stay closed unless you set something in front of it. We used the trash can...nice look! The desk was dirty with coffee stains...we don't drink coffee. The happy hour and breakfast provided were what I expected, thank goodness. The staff was nice and the location was nice but the Marriott Courtyard I stayed in the night before was a much nicer room for half the price.

Short walk from hotel
The Capitol grounds are a short walk away with access to the building. Worth a look even if you don't go inside. Trevi's restaurant downstairs was not a good value either, and the food was just okay.
