Good
We were checked into the wrong room as it was already occupied (oops!) However, the hotel clerk provided us with two cold beers for our trouble and remembered me by name the next day. The Starbucks didn't have a microwave to heat up scones (What? This is 2012, right?) Finally, the hotel bar needs a new tv behind the bar as it does not get all of the other channels on the FIOS that the other t.v.'s get. P.S. the hotel needs a jacuzzi Otherwise, the room was nice, comfortable and well kept.

My husband and I live in Powhatan and there are not many diverse places to go. I decided upon the Omni because it was classy as well as the great location. We were very pleased with the service we received!

Short walk from hotel
Havana '59 was a great place to dine, it felt like old Cuba. There is a smoking section if you wanted to purchase a cigar, good food and good service. Not a huge selection of food, but definitely out of the norm. In walking distance, safe area as well.

Richmond Omni
Inspite of having a broken water heater, our stay at the Omni in Richmond could not have been better. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hot water issue was not one as they had it repaired hours before they had anticipated. Staff there were most accomodating, and the only draw back is not the hotel's problem but the city -- what is up with these street tolls on their one-way streets?

The Hard Shell, The Tobacco Company, and La Grotta. Wonderful food! Horrible store fronts but truly amazing food was Mamma Zu and Edo's Squid. If you love Italian seafood, this is a must.

Family Visit
This was our first time in Richmond. Went to visit our son before he move on to Ft. Campbell. Great location, area restaurants were wonderful and very easy to get around. The staff was very helpful. Room was average, but we didn't stay there along. I would certainly stay there again.

Great Hotel
The hotel is located within a short walk to restaurants and downtown points of interest. Staff was very helpful and attentive from check-in (bringing a crib to the room), to directions, to helping with retrieving items left in the car fro m the valet parking. Room was clean and decorated nicely.

Great Stay at Omni
I had a great one night stay at Omni in Richmond. The room was clean and modern, the view was great, the soaps and shampoos were good quality and the sheets were crisp and cool. We went to the pool around 9 am on Sunday and it was empty and just warm enough. The only thing that might throw people off is the lack of breakfast in the morning, but I was fine with it since we ended up at Millie's down the way and had fantastic drunken brunch. Plus, there's a Starbucks in the lobby.

Awful Mattresses & Poor Service
My Husband and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. Firt thing was when we pulled up we did not want valet parking, so the parking guy tells us to park in the garage without allowing us to unload our luggage. [...]. After we moved everything and got settled, Chocolate covered Strawberries and Champagne were delivered to us with a note from the Manager, wishing us a happy anniversary. The clerk also recommended Sam Millers as a very nice place for us to eat....NOT!The next night we enjoyed Cary Towne and eating at the Tobacco Company...the food was so good that it made up for everything that went wrong...but my Husband refused to lay on that uncomfortable mattress.....he slept in the chair that last night we were there......Boy, was I aching the next morning from sleeping on that thing...the beds are awfully uncomfortable!!My advice is to eat at the Tobacco Company Restaurant.....but find somewhere other than the Omni to lay your head!
