Hurricane Irene Escape!
We enjoyed our stay in spite of having no electricity the second night. The staff were outstanding. In view of the trying circumstances, no electricity, they achieved grace under fire. They did an outstanding job of trying to meet the needs of a variety of refugees from the hurricane in a difficult situation. In the morning they went to Starbucks and brought back coffee to go with breakfast goodies. That was above and beyond as far as we were concerned. Great stay under the circumstances.

This Fairfield is one of our regular hotels when we come to Richmond as our daughter attend University of Richmond. It is in a great location, close to short pump mall and many restaurants without being in the crazy mall traffic area. The room have always been clean, the staff friendly and the continental breakfast has many items to offer. If you want a Starbuck's - look no further than across the street. Charly O'Grady's in the parking lot will give you a break on lunch or dinner with your room key.

Hotel Good, but disspointed about [...]
Hotel experience was esentially great. Had issue with first room, as bypass door to next room did not lock securely, so we moved to another room. Very well handled by staff, who were exceptionally friendly. although small, the pool was adequate for our use, since no one else was using it at that time. I was very disspointed that the Orbits policy does not allow for marriot points to be awarded. based on this, I will not use Orbits for Marriot brand hotel stays in the future

Nice Place
Location is far enough away from traffic to be quiet, close to most types of food places. Plenty of parking space. Only downfall is the only hot breakfast food item was waffles. They had microwaveable biscuits, but that was kind of a letdown. Would stay there again though!

Very good hotel for the money
Rooms are very clean and adequate size. Employees are very helpful especially the lady who staffs the complimentary breakfast area. Great staff. Plentiful parking. Safe location. Convenient area. Only negative are beds are a little hard for my taste (maybe just me). I stay here each time I am in Richmond.

Clean and comfortable
It was a quick trip to attend a wedding. The bed was comfortable(king) and the room especially bathroom very clean.Quiet also for good night 's sleep.
