Concerned

Everything was good. The waffles, the movies, clean room and beds. I had a problem with the demand for the original credit card used for payment. To protect our information, the hotel gets a different number. They should check this and why really is it necessary.

There are lots of places to eat within .5 mile. A good family place affordable is COOKOUT complete meals under 5 dollars and the food is good.

Worst Hotel EVER!!

I reserved a room online. When I got to the hotel the woman at the front desk was short with me. I couldn't find my room right away because the room door was open. I did not order a smoking room and the door said non-smoking, yet it reeked of smoke. The woman at the front desk proceeded to ARGUE with me saying I did order one even when I looked up the records to prove otherwise. What ever happened to the customers always right?? Finally the manager got me another room. The iron was missing and there were no pillows. The room I moved from also had holes in the chairs and the ones in the walls were badly repaired. I would NEVER ever recommend this place.

The Econolodge in Richmond, Virginia, West End is close to the highway (I-64) which leads to downtown proper. Along the way, its location on West Broad Street has many options for dining and shopping. It is a basic, no frills Hotel, for which was what I was looking for.
