SLEEP BEFORE YOU STAY

The hotel itself is fine. The tenants who stay there for longer periods of time (contractors/workers) must work in the hotel ALL Night long. Banging and slamming doors, walking and knocking upstairs like there's construction going on. What's that all about? Sleep before you stay here because there's no sleeping once you get there.

Disappointing

The initial room did not have a working shower head. The room we were moved to was closer to the reception desk. The person in the room abo ve us walked all night long. The fire alarm went off at 1 a.m., we waited outside for the o.k. to go back in. There appeared to be a 'party' in the hall after midnight, and no one was at the desk to report it to. We asked for a 6 a.m. wake up call and never got it. The rooms were clean, and we thought it was going to be fine. When I mentioned this to the front desk at check out, I was told I should have called the # on the flier we were given. When we checked in I was told about the # but that it was if we could not get in after the doors were locked at 11 pm. The clean staff did not return to make up the bed each morning.

Never Again

I did not expect this hotel to be this bad. We get there and they had trouble with my credit card so they had to call 3rd party company to get corrected. So after about 20 min they got that straight. The clerk was gonna put us in a king room opposed to the queen room we had and then the other clerk states that they are doing work in the room and it's unavailable. So then she says is a queen room ok. I'm like what choice is there. Like really!!!! So we get in the room and it looks a hot ghetto mess. The chair was nasty, the bed look like it had spots in it.

Enjoyed My Stay

I enjoyed my stay at Savannah Suites and will return on my next swing through Norfolk. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The internet was extremely fast, allowing me to get some important work done. The fitness center, while small, had great equipment and the full kitchen was a nice touch since I was there for a week. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Okay

I arrived at the hotel very late at night, i called the number that was in my confirmation and a night attendant came down within minutes to let me in. I thought it was kind of weird that the front desk was closed but the security outside surveying the area made me feel a little safer. I'm guessing they need security to keep all the crazy's away. overall good stay, nice staff, okay rooms, okay amenities. they could however liven up the decor. the location was perfect!!! if you need everything in walking distance this hotel would be perfect.

Horrible Management

I wasn't told when I booked the reservation that I had to call a seperate number to check in after 11pm. I arrived shortly after 11 to find the gate closed on the reception area and was forced to pay double what the room was for a different hotel. Luckily I found another room for the two nights that we were staying in town. There were bugs covering the reception area and the smell was awfull. I called the management office the next day and they blamed me for not knowing about the second number. They would only refund us back the first night and not the second. Never ever stay here!!

No Problems Here

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was courteous; however, there is no one working at the desk at night, which was an inconvenience because we were unable to get the vending machine to take ones and we had no change.

It was okay.

Just needed a bed to rest but was to scare to put the cover over my head because of the smelled. My daughter also stated that under the sheet smelled like urine. It was like 2am when we finally hit the bed. So I was too tired to asked for a different room.

It was okay for the money paid.

The rooms were clean but it looked like an old office building that they made into a hotel. The price was good though. There was a full-sized refrigerator and a sink and a small stove. It was cozy but not alot of room. The bed was the smallest queen bed I have ever seen and it was not a plush mattress but it was a bed...3 out of five stars it was average nothing special.
