Norfolk Plaza Hotel

Every thing was good at the hotel. Some of the housekeeping service was late but it worked out. I was surparised thet they charge you to park on their lot, I was thinking that it would be free after the amount of money they charged for room. No place to eat after 9 or 10 o'clock.

I was attending a conference at the near by Marriott, which was the preferred hotel by the conference organizer. However, the price was too high at the Marriot, so I chose the Norfolk Plaza Hotel instead. For the price I was paying, I was delighted to find my room was clean and the necessities looked new, as well as a small gym and office at the lobby. However, all the treadmills were broken during my stay, and the computers in the office were really old. But still, this hotel provides a great value.

Very pleased with my stay. The room was clean, the staff friendly, the food from the grill good (although a little pricey). Room service hours are too short, however.

I was there on business over night. The staff at the front desk were very attentive, and professional. This was my first time at the hotel and I would recommend it to other business travellers.

Thank God they upgraded my room because there was only 1 out of 4 elevators working!!! Black tuna is a great place to eat but they closed on Saturday night because of a little snow??? Was really disappointed!

By far the worst hotel in Norfolk. Has a major case of bed bugs and the management refuses to get it cleaned up. They close off those rooms and just let it spread. Overall the management completely ignored all major safety concerns and fire hazards by not complying with safety protocols. Neptitism is rappant in their hiring practices. Stay away from this place.

Ok for one night only. Room had water staines all over the ceiling. bath tub looked stained and dirty, we didn't take a shower there.. One of the bed sheets was stained as wel. Room was cold at night, even though the heat was working - turned on every few minutes, very loud too. I had to pay for hot tea at the front desk, something I had never experienced before. I would think that for $100 a night that should be included. Restaurant - The Tuna Bar served a good food though. I agree with other reviews, location is ok but hotel not so good.

This was a great hotel for a night. The room was very clean as well as every part of the hotel. The only thing i will have to say that the side entrances that the hotel has has no card readers so if you do not have something to hold the door open then you have to walk around to the front side of the building.

Don't let the exterior, or location scare you away. The hotel rooms are clean and recently renovated. Granby Street, an up and coming part of Norfolk, with bars and restaurants, is just a short walk away.
