Days Inn Norfolk- Military Circle

I knew what I was getting into with this 2 star so my expectations were very low. I'm a business traveler who usually stays at Marriotts however the Marriott where I booked a majority of my business trip was full for the 1st day I arrived so I scrambled for something down n dirty for the night. As expected with a 2 star, the property hadn't been upgraded in years. My room was equipped with everything old,..bedspreads, TV, microwave, bathroom, chairs all needed to be upgraded but that's simply not going to happen at most Days Inns. That said, everything worked and the staff was decent. I would never stay at a 2 star for more than 2 nights.

the room was on the 5th floor. Of the two elevators one was out of order both days and the other was out of order just hours before checkout time. This put a strain on two people over age 60, one with a bad back and the other having had 5 heart by-passes just 6 months before. The motel had to much noise until after 12:00 midnight.

It was uneventful and unremarkable, but then again, no news is good news. The hotel is alright. It's not bad. It's nothing great. But it's a good budget stay. The room did not look fresh, but it was clean. The bedding was clean, save for one spot. The bathroom was in good condition, though again, it did not look fresh. The entire hotel complex looked 'tired' but again, for this money, you shouldn't expect much. The best things about the hotel were the location and the price. Both were perfect. I stayed in this hotel twice, as I found while the interior was disappointing, the location and the price made up for that. We only used the hotel to sleep - the entire day we spent at Virginia Beach. It's very conveniently located about 15mins away from it and right in the middle of a large area filled with restaurants and stores. The hotel also featured free breakfast that did not make me afraid of eating it. It was nice. Bagels, doughnuts, waffles, cereal, some fruit, juice, coffee, tea - the usual fare. I noticed they had a pool and cable, but I did not try either one out.

IT WAS NICE WISH THE POOL WAS A LITTLE LARGER AND DEEPER.

Location ok, hole in wall behind door, coffee maker had a old coffee pack still in maker filled with mold. pillows were half pillows. Air conditioner was filled with dirt. No security at all people partying till after midnight. Paid for two nights stayed only one. They can keep the money they need it worst than me.

Well for one the picture look nothing like the actual room...the bed is a full size bed no where near a queen size!!! When I first arrived to the hotel I went to take a shower there was hair from the last guest all over the wall. Left for dinner came back and the lights did not work. Our power in the bathroom was out. Bed felt like bricks. The next day I called the front desk to tell her and she sent a maintenance man that had no idea what he was doing. Finally after 30 mins of the man working they moves us to another room. The next room was a little bit better but still sucked!!!!!!!

besides it being a not so nice area there is alot of traffic as well

I was happy i had a place to sleep; however there was nothing special about this hotel. The pictures are very deceiving, and it is not as nice as shown.

These were the worst mattresses on the planet! They were hard as a rock. My other complaint would be the pillows provided. They were like 10X10 couch pillows and not bed pillows. Luckily we brought out own. The staff was pleasant, room was clean and breakfast was decent. All in all, not bad, but my back couldn't handle another visit.

The price was great....their were hairs on the toilet and in the shower....the breakfast was very poor.....but all in all it served its purpose ....I wouldn't go back if jihads a choice.....
