The 4 of us wanted to break up our trip from NH to SC, so VA was a good stopping point for a break. We didn't use many of the amenities. We arrived at 3am and slept until checkout. Simple breakfast items to tide you over. I felt safe, and we did
arrive at an odd hour of the day. The front desk lady was really nice, and helpful with luggage rack, and breakfast, and getting us our card key to work. I the gentlemen the checked me out was very nice as well. A great place to stop to rest for the money! Thank you!
horrible.. daughter was disgusted because of the bugs crawling on the bed. staff moved us to another room however the odor was of an old building. family did not feel safe because of the type of CLIENTELE. .
The hotel is ok. But the elevator and the key door didn't work properly. The room door give me hard time to open. And the elevator door was jam. It was a little bit scary. Beside that avery things was ok
I arrived after 10pm and the main lobby is locked. You come in a side door and are separated from the clerk by thick plexiglass window. That made me think I had something to be concerned about.
Hotel decor and rooms are a little run down and
outdated--the kind where they never really feel clean, but in reality the rooms, linens, bathroom were all clean.
I wouldn't vacation there, but worked just fine for an inexpensive place to sleep and shower passing through.
We stayed here for one night. We did not need beach access so this worked well for us in the price range we needed over a holiday weekend. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and met our needs. The only down fall was the
bed was rick hard but worked fine for one night and there is no iron, ironing board or hair dryer in the room. I brought my own so I did not need it but if you need these things I would call and ask before travel to see if they have it available. This hotel is not "updated" but it served its purpose and was clean. That's all I really care about. They do have a pool but we did not use it so can't comment on that.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. Seeking something not to expensive, not to far from the beach. The room was very clean, the front desk clerk was very friendly and even recommend that we try the beaches in Norfolk instead of driving to VA
Beach (we we did). You have to pay for ice and a $10 fee for incidentals, which was really a deposit for the remote control for the tv. There is a shopping center withing walking distance. All and all it wasn't too bad.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Ocean view beach is a 10 minute drive, they had a nice live concert in the park
As a full-time caregiver, I need a break once a month. This hotel was so was not only convenient for me, but I found the room quite large, clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but I still slept quite well. Staff was very
friendly at check-in and check-out. Wiil definitely syat again next month.
First of all, we called ahead because for some reason it was booked as a 1 king room when we wanted 2 separate beds. The lady was incredibly rude and incompetent, and ended up telling us that they were "overbooked". We stayed at the hotel 2 nights
and didn't see anyone else at the hotel except for this one incredibly sketchy looking guy.
Secondly, we asked for a non smoking room but was placed in a smoking one. Every day we woke up with aching lungs. It was disgusting.
Lastly, they charged us some random "bed tax". Maybe I've never heard of it because I'm from out of state, but for me thats ridiculous. Why not a toilet tax, pillow tax, and a tv tax on top of that? Dumb.
The only positive was that they had a "continental breakfast" that had some instant oatmeal..
Definitely not worth it. Pay a little more extra for a much better hotel.
