Use Only When Needed

Sadly, went there with expectation of clean, modern room. What we got was totally the opposite. Old dilapidated hotel desperately in need of a renovation. Staff was nice enough but the physical issues with the place could not be overcome in my opinion.

Graduation

My experience at this hotel was good. I was traveling with a handicapped person and there was some mix-up with the room. The staff worked willingly to correct the mix-up. The front desk and staff were courteous and helpful. This was not my first stay at this hotel. I have stayed there numerous times over the past 4 years and I will continue to use this facility when in the area.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

You can sit on the front porch and rock or play checkers. If that's not your fancy, browse in the general store. You will find a lot of neat stuff there. Cracker Barrell

Thats good Stuff

I stayed at this motel from 4/28/13 thru 5/2/13 and pleasantly surprise by everything there. It looks like they are remodeling this hotel but everything is clean & daily upkeep great from room service to cleaning of the grounds. It also helps that the Owner is present daily and the manager Sharon is very visible on daily basis. The staff is friendly & helpful and I plan on staying there again in the near future. Ps Pets are quite welcome in this hotel for minor surcharge.

Glad I had a discount

The room was definitely not worth the normal price posted on the door. The lighting in the bathroom was out. Broken floor lamp in the room. There was dust on all the furniture. Hair was left in the drawers. The hallway smelled strongly of cigarettes and other smells. And we had to walk through it every time we left our room. The only thing that looked clean was the linen. But the staff seemed very nice and they let us check in hours early. And I was there to visit someone on Ft. Eustis so I was able to be away from the hotel for long periods of time.

Good and getting better

We had a very good room. The motel is being redone so I suspect things will be even better in a few months. Every lamp only had one light bulb which did not provide a great deal of light. We would stay again.

Fantastic famliy getaway

The hotel was a great place to stay at. We was expectin something worst from reading the reviews but when we arrived it was not that bad at all. The lady that checked us in was so nice and very friendly, she answered any questions that we had. And they are remodeling to make the rooms more better, but they was very clean. The only thing we could find wrong and was not a big deal some of the equipment in the gym didn't work. We would stay there again on our next trip.
