For the most part - Helpful, Attentive Staff
While Joe forgot about my request for additional blankets for my cold-natured elderly Uncle, upon being reminded, he was apologetic and quick to oblige. Mary, on the cleaning staff found one of my Uncle's prescription pills which he must have dropped. She was tipped for her attention to detail and nice note saying she had found the pill. One of the manager's asked us if we were enjoying our stay and our free continental breakfast - we said Yes.

Very good experience checking in and out. Selections at breakfast were great. Bed was comfortable but room was humid and had a bit of a moldy smell despite having the a/c and fan on.

Very good.
I found the Wingate to be more than adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room and bath were clean; and the mattress wonderful. I do think though that it was pricey compared to Hilton and Marriott. However, I would stay there again.

Great Business Hotel & Comfy Beds
The staff was wonderful. The room was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in. The breakfast was one of the best too. For the price, it very much exceeded my expectations.

This is a college town. There are many restaurants within a couple of miles of the hotel including Ruby Tuesday, steak nad bbq houses and a Cracker Barrel. Driving on the roads requires a GPS as the road designations are very confusing and because of the hills, the roads do not go in a straight line. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Best in Town!!!!!
My friend and I were there to attend a baby shower. I was impressed the moment I walked into the lobby. We were greeted warmly, and a room with a view of the city was available, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was very clean and beautiful, and had every amenity I possibly needed. The breakfast was more than I would have expected - which was enough to keep us satisfied until dinner. Whatever we needed - the staff was right there to accommodate us, weather it was directions, tips on restaurants, extra coffee for the room, etc. I would absolutely stay there again if I get another opportunity to visit Lynchburg.

Doting Grandmother
Always enjoyable!
We always look forward to staying at the Wingate. We know that we will be comfortable and in a good proximity to all that we want to do in Lynchburg. We have stayed here previously for our Christmas holiday with our children and their families and it was very enjoyable.

first impressions not cool.
the first impression included the greeting from one of the ladies at the desk -- early check-in will not happen today, we were full last night and the house has not been turned around. no, you cannot change anything on your [...]reservation. we are not to touch it [...] all I can say is thank God for the manager, [...]who was in ear-shot to the greeting and to these dogmatic statements given.... no surprise to us, [...]was able to make a small change to what was reserved and accommodated us in giving us a courtesy call to inform us that our room was ready.... the hotel is average. ... this is coming from a family that is prejudice to Embassy Suites. Our #1 preference. Lil Lynchburg is not blessed to have one.
