Good place to sleep, but not eat or bathe
The room was clean, spacious, quiet with an effective AC unit. I slept well. However, the bathtub had a no-slip sheet stuck on it that was peeling at the edges, making it both unsanitary and uncomfortable. The faucet in the bathroom sink leaked, dripping water across the counter. The breakfast was below average, with rubber eggs, watery oatmeal and the weakest coffee in memory. Go to the Waffle House across the street instead!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Bistro on Main, the Sheridan Livery, the Southern Inn and the Red Hen in downtown Lexington, VA are all excellent restaurants. Entrees are in the $13-$25 range, so this is not value priced eating, but the food and atmosphere is excellent in all cases.

VA ON THE ROAD
Not the place to stay in Lex
The Hotel was nicely located on the path to our destination. However the hotel was not very clean with dirt buildup in corners and sparse supply of towels. Staff had to be hunted down for both check in and check out. Then after we were in our room they issued a key to our room to another couple and there we were in the room when someone else came into our room thinking they had it. That was a very bad situation and the front desk would not answer the phone for at least 5 tries of timing out the ringer. Finally i got the manager on the phone but he provided no explanation of the security breach. I will not be staying there ever again.

Perfect horse show retreat
The hotel is 1 mile from the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington Virginia. The staff is welcoming and accomidating. The rooms are large and fresh and contain all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Ruby Tuesday is next door for an easy walk at the end of a long horse show day.

Great Stay
Right off I-64 in Lexington, VA. Wonderful room, with 2 queens, lots of room, closet, roomy drawers, nice bathroom. Breakfast was one of the best we experienced. Walmart and Lowes nearby. Adjacent to Ruby Tuesday. Lots of parking. Indoor pool with heated jaccusi, exercise room, computer room with free copy machine. Staff was friendly, rooms were very clean. First floor room had 12' ceilings.

Little Sleep
Rooms are NOT very sound proof. Could not sleep due to hallway and neighbor noise. Breakfast was not up to par in my opinion. Good place to stay if there is no where else to stay.

Great location, great room
After spending two days driving and hiking the blue ridge parkway we were tired. The hotel was easy to find, and also close to the route we needed to take back to Cape Cod early the next morning. It was close to a variety of restaurants, so we were able to get a good dinner with little effort before retiring to the room. The beds were very comfortable, the room was great and spotlessly clean. The only disappointment we had was the continental breakfast. We would stay here again, but would go elsewhere for food.
