just what we needed

After attending JMU's homecoming game( JMU 31 - Richmond 7 !!!!!) just needed a place to sleep and shower. Customer service was good. The beds and pillows could use an update but for the price it was good. Clean.

Disappointing

First of all, the gentleman working the front desk was very kind and polite. Unfortunately, we had booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we got up to the room, they were 2 double beds. [...]booked the room for us and we took it based on looking for queen size beds. The Super 8 didn't have any to offer. That and they were in the middle of construction - pounding hammers, paint smells and glue smell from new carpet made this a poor choice for us. When we asked for a refund, we were put through a lot of phone calls without any resolution as of yet. Very disappointed with the hotel and [...]. Will never use them again.

Harrisonburg Weekend Family Fun

We got to visit Dayton Market, Heritage Shopping Mall, an Antique Store on RT. 33 plus our family reunion at Purcell Park right up the street. We had great service and everyone was so friendly. We were on the bottom floor and Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights the room above us had little ones running back and forth in the room. We could still hear noise above the sound of our TV and air conditioner. We didn't sleep well or relax the first 3 nights. The last night was wonderful!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

On Main street there must have been 20 different dining places so we didn't have far to go for our meals.

Avoid this place if at all possible!

We stopped here when travelling from New York to Nashville and planned to stop on the way back, too, but cancelled our reservation. This motel is very tired, worn, smells, and has bad electical service. It was not clean, the beds were uncomfortable, the towels were horrible, and it was an overall unpleasant experience.

Very decent hotel for the money

Just needed a place to sleep for one night - for what we paid, I expected a very low quality room. It was actually very updated, good tv, fridge, coffee pot and clean! Recommend bringing your own pillow though!

Not at all what I expected

The pillows are small and not comfortable. The towels looked very gray and old. I found a hair (not mine) on a face towel. When I went to get some extra ones, they did not have any. The air conditioner was a window type and very loud. The front lobby behind the reception area was very cluttered with boxes, papers, etc and did not look very clean. The location is very convenient to I-81 and five minutes from James Madison Univ. The staff was friendly. Far too expensive for the quality. Next time I will pay extra to stay across the street at the Hampton Inn.
