tight quaters
The Jamison Inn staff is nice and the hotel is clean. The living space is small and cramped. The bathroom door opens into the dressing/bathroom sink area which is immediately inside the room's entry way. If you have more than 2 people, it wouldn't be very comfortable.

"Great Location for Visit to JMU"
Stayed at the Jamison Inn while visiting James Madison University with my daughter. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The location is perfect if you are visiting JMU. The breakfast, which is included in the room rate was not very good, but there are numerous places to eat nearby.

Great Location for the price
I visit my son at JMU, at least once a month, and it's my get away. I have used this Hotel before and I will keep using it. Great Price, quiet rooms, real comfortable beds, and every time I walked into the room I smelled a fresh scent. An automatic air-freshner.

Great Location for the price
Overnight visit to my Son at JMU. Gorgeous view of the Mountains. Shopping and food real close. I would recommend to friends.

Well Needed ME Time!!!!
The staff was great! The rooms were clean and a good size. Would say at the Jameson INN again . . . any day!

Stay Away!
This was an a horrible experience. I went early to get a room and explain that we had athletes staying there for the state track meet and needed smoke free rooms. The first room made one of my coaches have an asthma attack is was so congested with smoke. Jameson doesn't separate smoking/nonsmoking by floor just by groups of room. Then they moved them to the next room and there were dirty/oily towels in the sink. I contacted the night manager and his response was "things happen". That tells you where this place is heading...

great location
Great location for James Madison University. To compete with a neighboring hotel it would serve them well to update the hotel. It has great potential! Was clean and convenient and a decent price.

Good hotel
I took my husband here for a weekend getaway for his birthday (he loves hotels!). It was very quiet, which we really enjoyed. The price was also great for the quality of the hotel. However, it wasn't as fancy or special as I thought it would be from passing by the outside a few times. The breakfast provided did not amaze me either. I was a little disappointed by their lack of healthier options (I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Harrisonburg and was impressed at their spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, low fat milk and sugar free jelly options). But, overall, the hotel was very nice and well priced for the passing through traveler.

College Town Stop
We stopped at the Jameson Inn in Harrisonburg on our way home from Rhode Island. It was great to break up our 18 hour car ride. The hotel staff was nice and our room was clean. We were really looking forward to watching Sunday Night Football and were extremely disappointed when the hotel did not have NBC! Also, the walls were quite thin and you could really hear your neighbors. Otherwise it was a nice place to stop for the night and rest.
