Econo Lodge Harrisonburg

Our experience was not good, motel overpriced, room not clean- sheets had stains and a small hole, so did bath mat. The heating and cooling unit was very noisy at night. The shower rarely heated beyond lukewarm. the maids never gave us fresh towels the second night. Coffee at breakfast was weak and tasteless. It was overall a poor experience

Check in was fine, went to room and opened the door to be SMACKED in the face with discusting,reaking, cigarette odor. Requested NO Smoking, and called ahead to make sure this would be the case upon arrival. Went to speak to the manager and was told by him there was no way to change the room. Being Family Weekend at JMU, the whole town was filled up. Was a horrible weekend in smoke filled room. I would NEVER stay here again. My friend stayed there the weekend before with the same results. Wish I had talked to her before I went. ALSO, not enough parking for the motel guests staying there!

Great location and good price for a few nights at JMU homecoming, since all the other hotels charged $200 a night. However, room beds were caved in, wallpaper falling off the walls, and towels look like they haven't been changed in years. We went to walmart for our own towels. You get what you pay for

Econo Lodge Harrisonburg, VA was worse than the hotel I stayed in during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad in 2008. Beds were terrible, bugs were large and the noise level was deafening. Never again!!

The hotel was nice for the reasonable price. It was very clean and simple. Everything was provided for a quick stay.

Fine for the price. Nothing fancy, but every thing worked and was comfortable.

The room smelled like someone had been chain smoking in it for five years straight. Even turning the fan on didn't help the stench. I had to go out and buy febreeze because being in the room made me smell too!

Room was clean and comfortable. Sofa bed was not so great for sleeping- limited bedding included.

Check-in was difficult because we had to wait about a half hour though we were third on the line at 4:00 P.M. The person before us was part of a reunion group whose members had not all arrived and they made everyone else wait. The person was paying by cash and would not pay for the other members of his party. The same reunion group with of men, women, children of all ages were up most of the night and noisy until about two in the morning. About Midnight someone knocked loudly on our door, which we refused to open --only to learn through the door that he was mistaken and looking for someone else. The location was very good for us as it was very close to Spotswood Country Club for the wedding we were attending. The air conditioning was fine as there was a heat wave. We were unable to eat any breakfast there as we wanted to leave early on Sunday morning because of the heat wave. Got to the breakfast station just to get a cup of coffee and they would not let us (or any of the other 6 guests who were waiting) have any coffee. We waited from 6:20 to 6:30 and the attendant said they were not ready, so we went elsewhere. It would have been nice to just have a cup of coffee befoe going on the road. We could not make the one in the room because we need milk in the coffee to drink it.
