Worst stay ever
My family and I have stayed in a number of hotels, motels, B and B's and other places around the world and this place was the worst place I have stayed in 40 years. The room and windows were dirty. The shower curtain was molded. The beds were small. We reservered a non-smoking room and they gave it away earlier in the day. It was a football/family weekend in Harrisonburg so we had no other option. The prices were four to five times the normal rate. The service was poor. When I checked out, the lady behind the counter said, "You can go." Not thank you for staying, come again ... anything that would have shown some apprecaition for spending nearly $300 a night to stay in this place. The breakfast was good. The food was warm and fresh and the eatting area was clean. The location was excellent for our trips to and from the university as well as plenty of places to eat near by. Access to I-86 was just around the corner.

Comfortable Stay for a Hectic Weekend
I stayed at the hotel with another coach as we participated in a state tournament at JMU. The hotel was right off of one of the main drags with many restaurants and shops. This helped for the downtime we had after our competition. The beds were super comfortable and helped me get rested for the two days of competition. The TV was an older model, so it did not have the best picture and the continental breakfast was simple with no frills. We had some problems with our keys, but the front desk staff was quick and happy to help. A good place to stay for weekend trip to JMU.

Grad Mom
nothing special but served the purpose
We were in town for a graduation which jacked up the prices big time- the location couldn't have been more convenient for us, but the accomodations were minimal and it felt more like a motel. Everyone was very friendly, basic free breakfast, it was ok in a pinch.

Comfortable and convenient
This was the right choice for us for comfort and convenience. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Check in/out was fast and easy. We were visiting the JMU campus and the upper entrance was very close. There was a nice shopping center right across the way, with a favorite book store and restaurant. There was a drug store right around the corner and an office supply store which we needed. It is right by the 81 exit and easy to get to.

Perfect
I was greeted with a smile and checked in quickly. The desk clerks were very knowledgable about the area and very helpful. The room had everything I expected but was actually decorated much better than I expected. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was larger than I expected. Overall, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and the landscaping was amazing. I would recommend to anyone.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
This is a perfect location for seeing what the Shenandoah Valley has to offer. Not far from the Skyline Drive, battlefields, caverns and tons of historic locations. If you are taking you family on history or nature trip this place is great. It is also near lots of restaurants and shops.

Clean Clean Clean
This is one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel in a long time. I was greeted warmly and the desk clerks knew everything about the area. I am a very picky person and was very impressed. My room was perfect. The room was beautiful and very very clean. I saw their large pretty pool and had to run across the street to buy a swimsuit it was so inviting. Landscaping was great and I wish I had brought my dog to play in the courtyard. Breakfast was good and everyone at the property was so helpful. I would go out of my way to return to this property.
