La Quinta Inn Norfolk Hampton

The hotel is very conveniently located... the stairs were coming apart and I fell and nearly hurt myself. The staff was really helpful, but overall it was clean and a place to lay your head.

NO BED BUGS! Very clean! House keeping was friendly. Beds were comfortable. Room was a little muggy, but the ac/heat worked fine when needed. The only problem I ran into was the cable service went out on SUNDAY! FOOTBALL SUNDAY, it's all good, they called someone to come out and fix it. I stayed for HAMPTON HOMECOMING, and the stay was rather enjoyable. COntinetal breakfast was good, you make your own waffles. I would stay again if I needed to. I was nevous to stay here because the bad reviews, but don't knock it until you try it. Alot of things people say can be misleading, so go with your own judgement!

The hotel is ok. When I first walk in around 10:30ish a.m. the check in area was dirty. The free breakfast was just finished and they hadn't cleaned up yet. But hey, free waffles and assorted pastries are worth a little post dining untidyness. The staff was friendly, but they didn't have a room ready. One lady was like sorry rooms aren't guaranteed until 1 p.m., but the other lady was like let me call to the cleaning crew and see if somethings available. I appreciated that. Unfortunately, they only had smoking rooms available but she took my number and told me that she would call as soon as something popped up. Now here's the problem. They taut there new flat screen TVs, but the things don't work!!!!!!! I am there with my kids in a hotel room without TV. Now I spent as much time out of the room as possible but in the end we needed a TV. I call down to the front desk and they are like let me reset something then try again. 10mins. later I call back and she says oh its not on yet. I'm like no can you come up here. So she comes up and unplugs this and that and says plug them back up in 5 mins and turn the TV back on 10 mins after that. NOTHING!!!! I did that mess 3 times. Finally I go to sleep frustrated and wake up in the morning and call and they say, now every TV in the place is out. How can that be. So I am like lets just go as soon as possible. The rooms are ok, nothing special just a room. The pillow top mattress (also new) is ok as well. My wife didn't like the fact that the doors open to outside so its more like a motel than a hotel. The bathroom area is a little cramped, but I am used to suites. If you are just looking for a place to crash i guess it is cool, but otherwise I wouldn't. 2 and a quarter stars out of 5

Everything was fine, Quiet area, appeared well monitored. The folks that work there were excellent. It is what it is, for the price you can not expect any more. A Clean, Safe, no Frills stay. No Problems either!!

Friendly staff, clean room, great complimentary breakfast assortment and right off the Interstate!

Worst experience of my life. I have never felt so disgusting, the room was dirty, smelled so bad. TV did not work and after is was fixed it continued to turn its self on and off. I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy.

It was a wonderful getaway that was very much needed.

We stayed at La Quinta just for one evening to have some alone time. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet and just a relaxing evening. The front desk called to check on the quality of the room. I was very pleased with my overall stay.
