BEST WESTERN PLUS Coliseum Inn & Suites

I booked this hotel because of the amenities, value and location. We were disappointed to learn that the pool was closed for renovation after we checked in. The primary reason for booking this hotel was for the indoor pool. We had checked in at 3pm as we had planned to relax and swim the entire evening. My daughter was very disappointed to learn that we could not swim. It ruined our evening. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean but the lack of disclosure left a bad taste with us. It really should have been disclosed that the pool was closed and that the hotel is being renovate.

We found a roach in our room and left immediately!! Bed was uncomfortable and the windows were sealed shut. Vending machines did not work and the elevator doors closed too quickly. the cleaning staff could have done a better job. The lobby and pool were being renovated and had to walk through the workers. The breakfast was good and the price and location were very reasonable but would not recommend this hotel.

The lobby floor and hall ways had damaged tiles. The hotel smelled musty. The beds were poorly made and the linens were not appealing. In general the hotel was not attractive or inviting. The location demands that the hotel be more appealing.

I've stayed at the Best Western Coliseum hotel several times and it's consistently good. A clean room and a good shower are musts for me. After that I need good WiFi and if possible a good continental breakfast. This Best Western has done that consistently for me.

Nice and affordable hotel in a very convenient location. The woodwork in this hotel is beautiful. Wonderful breakfast nook area. Good value, safe, comfortable. Would be happy to stay there again. Heated indoor swimming pool but no hot tub.

Well, this is the second time we've stayed at this hotel in Hampton, and both times we've been given this room. It's a "Non-smoking room" with an ashtray on the desk. Fortunately, it didn't smell like smoke, but every time our neighbors smoked, our bathroom reeked. The room was nice enough, and the breakfast was surprisingly good. Overall, it is a decent place to stay. The staff was very pleasant, with the exception of the night security guard. Because the room is the last one at the end of the hall at the back of the hotel, we pulled around to unload our stuff. She gave us a hard time, but after we argued for 10 minutes, she let us use the door. We were traveling with 3 very young children and coming though the front would have been very difficult. She was miserable every day we were there, but everyone else was great.

It suited us just fine! Clean but nothing extraordinary. Friendly staff.

I requested a non-smoking room and it was confirmed by Orbitz. Upon arrial they indicated they had put me in a smoking room and they were full for the weekend so no non-smoking rooms were available. They indicated I was put in a smoking room because I used a third party to book my room. I will not stay here again.
