Ramada Fredericksburg South

To start with I booked with Ramada Inn. At check in I was told my room was in the second build in the back. Which actually was a Knights Inn. Loud music and a lot of blacks roaming through the parking lot. I stayed the first night , but that was all I wanted ended up leaving and booked a room elsewhere. Definitely a bait and switch on this one.....Beware

I strongly suggest anyone to book this hotel. I won't recommend even if a room offered for $10 a night.

The location was convenient but I would have moved to a different hotel if I hadn't booked a package deal. I have stayed at Ramadas before before but this was terrible. My daughter went to get us coffee and there was a guy sleeping in the hall!! Everywhere there were doors that easily accessed from the street. We had an upstairs outside room but we had to lug our suitcases into the hotel then up stairs then out a door to get to our room. People were hanging out in the parking lot and throwing fire crackers. The continental breakfast was a joke, little cups for coffee and mini-muffins with a hand-written sign saying limit of 2 mini-muffins per guest. Needless to say, we went out for breakfast. There was a cigarette butt on the carpet by the door we had to go out to get to our room when we arrived on Thursday, it was still there when we left on Sunday. I think they were trying to upgrade in the bathroom, with new tub surrounds with magic marker writing still on it, no working fan in the bathroom, peeling paint in the bathroom, I could go on and on. I know it was a "cheap" hotel but that was no excuse for this. I took pictures for proof(haven't processed yet). Pool and fountains were not in working order, couldn't use the pool but everything smelled odd in the lobby. It was like they covered over the pool and lounge area with a roof and hooked a couple of buildings together to make a big lobby "convention area"!!!

I decided to go to DC for the weekend on short notice and this was only an hour away. It made a nice last minute stop. It was clean, but it smelled slightly of cigarettes and the man next door had his door wide open and was laying in just his boxers (which management had nothing to do with) The lobby is interesting but not unclean

The room was not up to standard. I have stayed at 1 star motels that were the same or better quality than this 2 star motel. Two of the lights did not work. One light was plugged in to a outlet that did not work. There was no outlet by the other light - so it was not plugged in. The nearest outlet was by the TV. I had to put the light on top of the TV and use the outlet by the TV. The clock radio did not work - no time no radio. The overall room was old looking. The grout in the bathroom was black in places.

Mold in the bathroom and on the heat and cooling unit. People yelling at 2AM and again at 4AM. They don't clean under anything - food under the dresser from the people in the room before us. The sheets did look clean. We went out the second day we were there and came back to the room only to find the card keys did not work. We had to go back to the desk and get new cards.

when i got there the room rates were $45 per night and I paid $77 through Orbit! The staff were rude, the room were dirty and not stocked with essentials. Since there was no way I could get a refund, I immediately left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously got ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We checked in and went swimming. When we got back to the room it was infested with cockroaches. We called the desk and they said there was nothing they could do. We took our clothes to the car and slept with the lights on. Needless to say we didn't sleep much while we watched bugs crawl across the walls. It was disgusting. No one even said they were sorry about our discomfort.

The hotel was very nice and the people were very nice I would have rather had a room on the outside instead of inside like we did which was my fault not there's. I would stay there again.The restaurant was good.

We had two rooms. The first room had a terrible odor from a previous water leak. Both rooms were dirty. The hotel smelled througout of Clorine. The fitness center had no working equipment. We only stayed one night and had to check out.
