Courtyard by Marriott Fairfax/ Fair Oaks

I have never met and dealt with such wonderful and polite staff! The hotel was very nice and quite updated. Although small, as one would expect in a travel stop hotel.. This place met my expectations and more. The staff were very friendly and very accomodating! Would definitely come back when in VA.

This is our first time staying here. We were pleasantly surprised. Everywhere you went the staff were nice. The rooms were comfortable. The kids loved the pool. They offered a nice selection at the Bistro. A small drive to the Metro. We would stay here again.

The hotel is only a mile or so off of route 66 which is a straight shot of about 10 miles into downtown DC and Georgetown. Of course the DC traffic is makes the trip a bit longer than you would expect. The hotel was nice, clean and the fireplace in the courtyard was treat. We just used the hotel as a sleep spot so we could head downtown and it was a wonderful value. The staff was friendly but we really didn't need much. They have open computers in the lobby with nice size screens. We both have iPads so the free wireless was a big treat for us. All in all I would recommend to anyone looking for a decent place to stay in DC that is conveniently located and a good rate.

Very comfortable and clean for what was paid. However, when we requested things from staff over the phone and they said they would get back to us, they never did. Also, local calls are not free so do not use the phone. They also inconveniently enough put a 10dollar pre-charge on your bill if you make a phone call. I never received the difference back and the calls that were made only amounted to a few dollars. In addition, upon check-in you get an additional fee for 40 dollars as a deposit in case there are damages and I still haven't gotten that back either and I know we left the place spotless, nothing but a little trash left behind.

The hotel was a good buy at $75/night, but the price goes up on other days. If you stay here, you need your own wheels because public transit does not exist. Plenty of restaurants and stores in the area. Bed was uneven and not very comfortable for two.

We stayed for two nights - It was OK. Location was just fine, near to shopping malls. The room was smaller than comparable ones elsewhere I used during the same trip and amenites were not in full shape.

Below average to average , not worth the name. Beds are smaller that it was announced. mattresses too soft. staff are nice. location is very good.

Location is convenient and quiet. Room was clean and furniture comfortable, with large TV. Staff was professional, interested and helpful, from check-in through breakfasts and check-out.

I can not find anything to complain about the Hotel, room or service. All top notch and at a value. Already planing another stay next month.

I travel quite a bit and I will say this is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in for it's price. The staff was helpful, kind and pleasant. I was taking my daughter to GMU for freshman year already nervous. Having a nice place to lay my head was great. I recommended this hotel to other families of GMU.
