4 day weekend getaway!!
Very clean hotel....stayed here for alot less $$ than in Virginia Beach. Only 12 miles from the Boardwalk...well worth the drive. Less traffic...very convenient to restaurants...stores and movie theater. The kitchen area in the hotel had good food....little slow @ breakfast (only one guy working) and a bit pricey for eggs. Coffee seemed to go quick...they promote they offer Starbucks coffee but its not free; you get another brand. Microwave was advertised for the room, yet it was located in Market Place near front counter.

2 dining tips: One, Pop's Diner which is 2 blocks away...very good breakfast...very nice, friendly staff...clean....very reasonable.... Two, Captain George's Seafood Buffet in Virginia Beach...great buffet from King Crab legs, Mussels, Oysters, Prime Rib, Crabs, Shrimp...go on and on...Check out there website....well worth the price......great food!!! The only suggestion is get there early...opens at 4pm weekdays.....parking lot gets full quick....very big location though....

Toilet water ran constantly. Informed front desk. Maintenance temporarily reduced water flow to tolerable. In middle of night toilet began noise similar to pushing a school desk across floor. (Was a pressurized toilet using air assist to flush). Very loud Db level. Almost got me to want to switch rooms @ 3:30AM. Maintenance called again & toilet reproduced noise for staff as soon as he entered room. They should not have rented out this room!

Courtyard Chesapeake Greenbrier
According to the Orbitz website, our hotel room was supposed to have a mini-fridge. We arrived at our hotel late at night after a long drive and were hoping to put our 4 year olds milk and yogurt in the mini-fridge since the small travel cooler we were using was starting to lose it's cool. When we arrived in the room, we found there was no fridge. I travel frequently on business across the country and always stay at Marriotts or Courtyards. I am used to a certain level of cleanliness and service that comes with the Marriott name no matter which city I stay in. This was sub-par at best. The breakfast buffett was not stocked, the glasses were filthy, and I had to track down a waitress to get my husband coffee. The 24 hour Market was not well-stocked, and the staff was unprofessional and not courteous. The hotel cleanliness was questionable. The coffee pot in our room was full when we arrived and had not been cleaned out.

good location
Went to participate in a family gathering. Staff very friendly, helpful. Breakfast good, lots of choices. Far enough from the freeway so no car noise.

Great steak restaurant nearby - Sterling's. We had a great celebration and great food. (steaks and seafood.)
