Americas Best Value Inn

We got to the hotel rooms and it showed clear signs of age. The rooms weren't very clean. The TV burned out the first night we were there and never got fixed. The service was good but subpar. The WiFi was basically a local router that could not get throught the walls and only worked in the lobby, which was closed from 11-7

The first room i was issued was unbearable. it was not clean and was infested with flies.My replacement room was very simliar with bath towels that looked like car washing rags. I had to leave this hotel and am expecting a Full refund for these awful hotel conditions.

We were on our way home from vacation and just need a place for a good night's rest. We were not interested in anything fancy, but this place was unpleasant. The room was very rundown-- hole in the wall, peeling wall paper, rust on the bathroom door, mold on the caulking. There was no hair dryer and no shampoo. The fridge was not plugged in. There was a couple that slept in the grass outside our room. Honestly, it was scary. The price was the only reason we stayed there.

Literally within 1 minute upon returning to the room, after a day at the beach, my son opened a pack of crackers and he was joined for his snack by roaches. Since we had already paid and they had our money and would not return it, we had to stay there for the night. We moved to another room. Upon talking to the manager the next morning he told me "tough" with a few profanity words added to the end of his comment. and that I was not getting my money back and to take it up with orbitz". Additionally, he told the maid service to provide us with no service for the rest of the stay and not to clean our room. I did take it up with orbitz and after borrowing money from family back home Days Inn cut a a great deal because of our situation and we were able to move to another hotel. Upon checking out of Bug City, the manager told us to get lost and never come back. I told him we would not, we did not like bugs. I have pictures and they will be posted on craig's list and u-tube later under bugs bugs bugs title. To top everything else off, they started construction on a room near us at 7:00 am.

This America's Best Value Inn was no value. It appears that this facility is established for transients and no luggage clients. We were give three rooms to choose from. The wall paper in the bathroom was pealing from the walls..Never again.
