Great staff and location
It's right across from south campus. The main dining district is all within a few minutes walk. Parking in garage is a little tight but still very easy compared to fighting for street parking in C-Ville. Can be expensive for what is in on short notice or weekends. Overall staff was helpful and got me another night when my plans ran far past expected. Very easy for me to visit the campus and see C-Ville nightlife.

Location, Location, Friendly
Can't beat the location at the heart of UVA and the friendly staff!! The rooms are simple and clean. Beds could have been better, but I saw them deliver a truck load of new mattresses the day I left.

Average Hotel - Great location
Its a red roof inn so you should know that is not a 5 star hotel. The best thing is the location at the UVA corner so for parents visiting in a short trip should do it.

Great Location, not much else
Very average hotel. Beds were very uncomfortable and walls were thin. Could hear people in the hall and in neighboring rooms ALL night long. Toilet did not flush but staff was very helpful and friendly and got the problem fixed.

clean room, friendly staff
several friends all met for an evening in Charlottesville. We all had rooms at the hotel. The location to UVA was very convenient, We parked and walked the rest of our stay.

I originally booked the room several weeks ago. I checked once week at a few web sites. The original price with fees and taxes was $110.00 i was able to ultimately pay only $85.00 for the night including parking.

Great for a quick stop to Charlottesville
My fiance and I stayed here for one night as part of a roadtrip. We were stopping in the area to see Monticello and just briefly view the UVA campus. Unfortunately, we caught a stomach flu on a way through the area so we didn't get to do much but the hotel is definitely appeared to be centrally located and right next the the UVA campus and only a little ways away from Monticello. Driving from Monticello to UVA lead me to believe there are some not-so-nice areas close by and this hotel is not in one of those areas. The room was spacious but the hotel and room was bare necessities, basically only offering parking (at least in a parking deck) and wifi. The rooms haven't been updated but they were still clean and fairly comfortable. The staff was friendly too and called not too long after check-in to make sure everything was fine in the room as well. For the price, I felt like we got a good deal but we were there while school was not in session either. I do believe this is probably a good option for those who are looking for a budget hotel and traveling in the area that want to be right next to UVA.

reasonable hotel near UVA
Overall good experience except small problems with TV remote not working and clogged toilet. These were taken care quickly by the staff. Internet connection was slow and unreliable, at least on the iPad (I had to turn WiFi off and do other fiddling every time I wanted to connect). But these were small problems; we enjoyed the experience and would stay there again.
