Great value!

Could not have been happier with our stay at the Inn at Darden. My fiance and I were in town for a wedding and were able to get an early check-in. The complementary items were a nice touch (especially the bottled water - needed that after a spring wedding!) .Friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel, everyone was very welcoming! The location is great, though parking isn't spectacular (since the Inn is on Grounds, it's a little bit of a walk from the Parking Garage).

Unexpected find

The normal chain hotels were all full so we decided to try this accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice it was, in room comfort and the area it was in. The campus area is beautiful. We will definitely try to stay here again when we are in Charlottesville. The only negative was the small breakfast area.

Nice Charlottesville Experience

Conveniently located on campus - parking was very easy, free snacks at check-in, water in your room that they don't charge you for, breakfast in the morning. All in all a great experience.

Great spot for a UVA visit

I lucked out getting a room at the inn for parents weekend. The location is central enough to all of the action, but quiet enough for a restful nights sleep. Rooms are simple, but well furnished with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Check in was a snap even on a busy weekend, and Jane, at the front desk was most helpful and efficient. Will certainly return.

Great Place to Stay at UVa!

My girlfriend and I traveled up to UVa for Homecoming during the second weekend of October 2012. Despite us both being UVa Undergraduate Alumni, we had never heard of nor seen this hotel before. After discovering the hotel on this site, we decided to book. Upon arrival, we instantly fell in love. The hotel is small on the whole, but provides a wide range of services including business center access as well as gym access. Parking was easy, and came at no additional cost. Hotel room was spacious, clean, and provided all amenities that larger, more well known hotels offer guests. WiFi as well as ethernet access are included in the room at no additional cost. Location was very favorable. Quick walk to Barracks or to JPJ/Klockner area. Also close to several residence halls, the Law School, and The Park. Driving was easy, and cabs can easily identify Darden, for those not familiar with the area. Would highly recommend and definitely will be the hotel of choice for future overnight stays in the Charlottesville Area.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Check out Barracks Road Shopping Center for great food. Contains a McDonalds and Burger King (for those interested in fast food), as well as a Panera, a Buffalo Wild Wings, and a Ruby Tuesday. Both Barracks itself and the Immediately adjacent North Barracks offers Thai, Chinese, Pizza, as well as a Ben and Jerry's.

simple and pretty stay

The business school is a beautiful part of a beautiful campus. Nice stay, warm welcome at the "gatehouse", cute amenities like a game room, and cozy bed. Everything was clean and simple. If coming for any kind of school event, this is a no brainer. We came to see downtown Charlottesville and travel to Luray Caverns. It was nice to sleep away from the downtown, with an easy drive to get to the highway & downtown C-ville.

A Pleasant Surprise

We booked this room for one night for the PSU-UVA football game and were pleasantly surprised by what we got for the price (we booked late and the price was $120 - on a football weekend!). Clean, comfortable rooms, decent continental breakfast, and great staff. Convenient location on campus. TVs could using updating, but we weren't in the room that much. Would definitely stay here again if traveling in the area.

Very satisfied with a big, big smile!

The first impression for me was its cleanliness. Everything smelled so good. The beddings were one of the most comfortable we have ever been treated to - down comforter and soft as clouds pillows were so relaxing. We had a last minute change because we had to add my daughter and they readily provided us with a comfortable cot for her with the same down comforter and soft pillows. Highly recommended also because it was so close to my daughter's UVa. residence hall. Perfect for move-in weekend! Loved every minute we were there.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a good variety of inexpensive restaurants nearby. Mexican food at Guadalajara Restaurant and Japanese food at Sushi Love, lunch or breakfast at Panera were all jusst a short drive from the Inn at Darden. Very convenient to The Corner for food and shopping.
