Everything was extremely nice. The only tiny issue was the room was not restocked with coffee cups and shampoo. But is was a wonderful place to stay and I will go back!!

Pretty good.
Beautiful place on a great location, everything fine, very good personnel. The only problems are that they provide these new square pillows (half pillows), and if you, like me, use more than one pillow regularly, this is pretty uncomfortable. Also, the A/C system is rather noisy and clunks through the night.

Just for the night
Arrived, found Hotel easy with my GPS. Easy check in. Bed very comfortable, I'm sorry I didn't bring my bathing suit for a quick swim. Bartender friendly, drank some local Virginia beer. I would stay again.

Charlottesville has a nice dining and shopping district. Good bands playing at some locations. Try and stay more that one day.

College Football Weekend in Charlottesville (2011)
Two great nights over Veterans Day Weekend 2011! Showed up and there was the Duke football team staying with us!!! Accommodations were great. Dinner and breakfast at TJ's on site was great. Kids loved the indoor pool. Staff was professional and friendly. Just close enough to the University and the other places to see in Charlottesville. I will go back!

Great hotel but not for UVA fans
The best beds, pillows and linens. Remote location to downtown and definitely not a deal at $200 a night. Watch out UVA fans, this hotel books in the opposing teams and fans. Banners, balloons the whole nine yards (get it?)

A very good hotel for the zone
Friendly staff Quite and charm The only thing is when it is booked the only available rooms are smoking ones, avoid them if you are a non smoker they are unbearable

Doubletree - Charlottesville, VA
I was told by ORbitz that this was a 2 BEDROOM suite, but it was a 1 bedroom suite with a sleep sofa. Anyone sleeping on the sleep sofa had to go through the master bedroom to get to the bathroom. Awkward. A huge jetted tub in the BEDROOM had no grab bars and appeared too dangerous to use. Why not in the BATHROOM? The hotel is difficult to locate and needs signage. Staff and acommodations were OK

Charlottesville
This was a very nice hotel. Everything was clean, though older. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nice and large. They only 'allowed' us one glass each which was kind of strange. The staff was very nice, knowledgable and cheerful.

Everyone's friendly
I have stayed several times, sicne I have a son studying around. The service is impecable and the staff makes the fifference. facilities are OK. Very familiar. breaksfast buffet is a bit porr, thta would be my only negative comentary, on the contrary you sleep well, thta is what matters.
