Super convenient
I was in town to see a doctor at the UVa medical Center for a second opinion. This hotel was in easy walking distance to the hospital, even with snow on the ground in a town that isn'[t accustomed with plowing streets or clearing sidewalks. The hotel is also close to a row of restaurants and bars on the edge of the Virginia campus.

Tuesday nights at No. 3 on University Avenue had $2.00 drafts and $5.00 meals, a real bargain. I had two pints of Guinness for only $4... hard to beat.

Great location
The Courtyard Charlottesville-University Medical Center was strategically placed near the beautiful UVA campus and was close to a large variety of restaurants and the downtown Charlottesville area. The area seemed very clean and nice for a college campus area, though with it being summer, not too many students around. Free parking was very convenient! Rooms were spacious and modern. My only complaint was the check-in staff lacked that service with a smile and were not very helpful about recommendations for area restaurants.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Horse and Hound Gastropub, service was excellent and the food delicious. They have a wonderful outdoor patio for al fresco dining. The restaurant is located a short drive away(or a really long walk) on W. Main St. heading back toward the downtown area from the hotel.

Very clean hotel
The Courtyard in Charlottesville was very clean. They also had very friendly service. The location is within walking distance of the University and various other places. The room I stayed in also had a beautiful view of the mountains.
