Mid-Week Trip
I stay here for my monthly trip to Charlottesville. They let me check in in the morning so I can get prepared for my afternoon meetings. Staff is great.

Convenient, clean
Other than the knock down drag out fight on the next floor, we found the Cavalier to be very nice. Location looks right across to campus, about a mile from the medical center. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Shower had very poor temperature control. Acceptable for the price.

Day Trip
Had to rent a room for the "day" to conduct meetings/interviews. Front desk staff was more tan helpful in accommodating a 10:00 a.m. check in. I will exclusively use this hotel now for my monthly meetings in Charlottesville.

Great Access to Campus
The hotel is conveniently located if you want to be close to campus.The room was nice and the free breakfast had waffles and cottage cheese with fruit in addition to oatmeal, etc. The fitness center was pretty good for a hotel of this level.

Solid location to get to The Corner, The Lawn, etc. Reasonably priced. Originally was placed in corner room facing Ivy/parking lot - was extremely loud inside the room, so asked for switch. Was kindly given "inside" room facing Emmet St, and was much improved. Overall, hotel was what I expected and worth the price.

Nice Location
The location is ideal for the area. Close to UVA Medical Center, John Paul Jones areana, Fontaine Research Center, Barracks Road Shopping Center. I did not receive my wake up call. The computor was down. The breakfast was typical coplimentary. Close proximity to the major routes, 29, 250, and I-81. Rooms are small but had micro and refrig. Overall a good choice.

Nice, but....
Pleasant facility with a number of recent upgrades - flat panel TV, microwave, and refrigerator. Apparently upgrades are not uniform as some refrigerators have freezer compartments and others don't. Complimentary breakfast was fairly limited - somewhat soggy waffles, dry cereal, standard pastries, juice, coffee, etc. Only complaint was that hot water ran out in middle of shower. Kind of expected at least an apology at check out but no comment or explanation was received. Shill I'll stay there again when I am backi in Charlottesville.

Campus Visit
Chose hotel because it is within easy walking distance of UVA. Older facility but with a number of recent upgrades. Provides refrigerator, microwave and safe. Also offers continental breakfast.
