The Inn at Virginia Tech
I was disappointed. The hotel looks like, and reads like, it is special. It isn't. No one offered help with luggage. The room was average. The pillows were down and smelled -thankfully we brought our own. We had to pay a fee to park -like we had an alternative. The waitstaff at breakfast waited until they finished an obviously personal conversation before coming to my table to even ask if I wanted coffee. No one suggested the breakfast buffet,, which was in another room and was not obvious. I did not think the stay was worth the price.

Spacious rooms, friendly staff
The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a fireplace making it welcoming and toasty. The front desk staff was most accomodating and friendly. The rooms were beautifully decorated and rather large. The beds was SO comfortable. I can't think of when I have slept so well away from home. This is definately now my first choice when I travel to Blacksburg.

Decent Room, Great Service
Good Service, but the room they gave us was right next to the elevator, which woke both of us up multiple times during the night and into the morning.

Understaffed front desk, otherwise great experience. Very comfortable room. Gym needs an update, equipment very old. Can't beat the location when visiting Tech!

In at VA Tech
There was a convention at the hotel as well, and the college kids in the hallways were loud on Friday night.Otherwise the stay was great!! I would stay again and would tell others to stay. Great location to walk to campus as well.

Great Location / Amenities in Blacksburg
This modern, nicely decorated hotel has a central location within the Virginia Tech Campus, a fine dining restaurant on site and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. The fireplace in the main lobby was a nice place to read and hang out. The free wireless internet service was as good as at home and robust enough to stream music and do a little gaming at the same time.

Short walk from hotel
The hotel has an arrangement with the campus for guests to use the Department of Recreation pool which was about a ten minute walk away. Main Street restaurants and craft shops are about 15-20 minute walk east through campus.
