Cordial desk staff, pleasant room, nice firm beds and nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. Only complaints were overly soft pillows, no chairs on balcony, and $2.00 soft drinks in the machines. Nice, quiet hotel.

Outstanding Accomodations
The hotel was in close proximity to Virginia Tech and our daughters apartment in Blacksburg. We were there for one night only, to attend an induction ceremony. The hotel was right off of Main Street, and very close to campus and also to fine restaurants. The room was very spacious, with two queen size beds which proved to be more than adequate. The room was very nicely decorated, with great lighting - both natural and artificial. The TV was a large flat screen LCD, but we didn't watch it except for the morning news - but very nice none-the-less. The bathroom was very clean, large, with plenty of towells. Lots of bathroom counter space for make-up, toiletries, brushes etc....We all just loved the shower head. Sounds funny, but most hotel rooms do not have top of the line shower heads. The spray was excellent, the water flow heavy, but best of all the hot water was hot immediately. The room also had a micro-wave, fridge and coffee maker. Our only negative comment is the breakfast buffet. We thought the cost was too high for a hotel breakfast bufett, so we dined at a local breafast shop for a much less expensive eating experience.

Short drive from hotel
We dined at Bull and Bones, a short drive from the hotel. Excellent dining experience with great steaks, ribs and chicken dishes. Also, they brew their very own beer on site.

Good place to lay your head
The staff was very friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the pillows were a Goldilocks affair: too plump or too squishy, and the "just-right" pillow wasn't there, so I woke up with a pain in my neck. The shelves in the shower were hilarious - so slippery that everything I set on them slid off into the tub. And this comment isn't just directed at this particular hotel, but why on earth can't at least one light in the room (preferably the bathroom) have a dimmer switch so we can see to get to the toilet at night, but not be blinded by the glare of a full light?

Very nice
I was in Blacksburg for a family funeral. When I returned to the room I was ready to sleep, and sleep I did. The room had been picked up and the bed was made and anything that I used was replaced. I travel on business and this was one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in.

Perfect Stay!
The Courtyard Marriott in Blacksburg was a perfect end to a wonderful wedding weekend! The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and the hotel is easily accessible. I defnitely recommend!

My review of Courtyard Blacksburg
The Marriott was very new, clean, and had friendly staff, but it seems like they built the building too quickly. The walls were so thin that I could hear everything in the room next door, upstairs, in the hallway, and even downstairs! I loved the free wireless.
