Surprisingly amazing
When I first booked this hotel, I thought it wouldn't be great as its very close to everything in DC and I got it for pretty cheap, we came we saw the room it was beautiful, clean full of light and nice and cool. Big bed big tv,nice couch and coffee table, lovely work area, even a fully stocked kitchen from microwave to dishwasher, was awesome, myself and fiancé said to each other this is where were staying if we come back, it's was great.

Long walk from hotel
I know the monuments look pretty close, I advise you to get taxi or bus to the monument or muesem, you can walk there fine but if your doin all the attractions, you'll be in bits, we ended up walkin for 9 hours, I'm still in bits now. So walk up, taxi back!

Excellent Value Great Location
This is a great place to stay, close to everything and a good value. It is an older hotel, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Common areas could use a little sprucing up. If you are looking for value and location this is the place to stay.

Decent stay, clean rooms, unfriendly staff
Not luxurious but the room and the hotel are clean enough for me to stay there again. The hotel staff (especially the young white male) are rude, though. The kind of behavior they exhibit towards non-native speakers is almost never seen by me before (except when I go to rural areas deep in the South).

Good Price and Location
Price was great and has a shuttle to the metro. The metro is only about a .4 mile walk anyways and only 3 stops to central DC. I'd take that anyday that 3 times the price in the heart of DC.

A Great Place to Stay
The Virginian Suites is located just a few blocks from the National Cemetary, which was nice as we got to walk there instead of driving all over. It is also really close to a metro station which we used to s Travel from the cemetary all the way to the zoo and back again. The room was neat and clean (odd blue stain on the bed cover though, but not a big deal). The bed was comfy, the tv was nice and the rooms AC/heat worked great! I would definitely stay there again when I visit again

Pictures way better than the real thing.
When you first arrive this place looks old and moldy. The rooms arent much better. The rooms are so big that the AC does not really reach you. The quality of the TV in my room was horrible. I couldn't watch anything really. The bed was lumpy and the whole place smelled a little dank. I would not stay here again even though the staff was great.

We were there nine days and enjoyed the accomodations very much. The large area with seperate kitchen and eating area was just what we needed to come home to after a hard day of touring DC. The shuttle service to and from metro was excellent but none on week end, the walk to the metro is maybe four blocks, not bad. Plenty of eating places near by and shuttle service to grocery store was nice. I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

It's not like the comforts of home
This was a nice hotel but lacked the luster I expected for the price we paid and from the reviews and listing I looked at before booking. The complimentary breakfast actually costs 12.00. We weren't told they offered only coffee in the morning until the very last day we were there. However, the room was clean, very neatly decorated & centrally located to some of the points of interest we wanted to visit. I probably wouldn't come back here simply because it was more costly than what my friends paid for better accommodations that included more perks than we got. .
