Out of the way but great place to stay

Even though it is off the beaten track, this Sheraton is a great place to stay. Their shuttle service to Pentagon City provides easy Metro access. The room and staff were great.

Good stay and vaue

View from the 10th floor was outstanding! The king bed room was nicely laid out and had more space than one normally expects. The only complaint has to do with the bathroom which is not well laid out. The interior room - with toilet and bath - feels cramped. Also the counter heights are at the old-fashioned low level - much too low for this 6' 3" man. Also the hot water for the shower took some time to arrive and then do not stay at a constant temperature.

Nice Place

Great Place.... Very nice place and a very clean room...................but.............. I will say $20.00 a night for parking was a bit much.... come on? Or at least be up front about the parking fees... I must of missed the fine print??

A Family Outing

The hotel was satisfactory. Liked the shuttle service that was offered to take us to the metro station, which is also attached to a mall. The shuttle was timely and convenient. The T.V in the room was not working.

Great friendly service, very accessible.

The staff at the Sheraton National Hotel was very accommodating in every way. My clothing set aside for an important meeting became unsuitable during travel to DC. The staff was able to get the apparel cleaned and pressed in a very short time at a very reasonable cost. Additionally, I had some extra time to take in some of the sites. The hotel is conveniently located for site seeing. The staff were openly informative, i.e. what to visit, how to get there, and where to park. Additionally, they provided information privy only to locals. The knowledge provided by the Sheraton staff made my visits to the sites much more pleasurable.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The Arlington National Cemetery, USAF Memorial, and The Pentagon Memorial are all located within a mile's run or walk from the hotel. Be careful, if you visit them on your morning run or walk as you will certainly be inspired to see more of Washington DC.

Very nice stay.

Free shuttle to the metro was a big plus. Nice room and friendly, helpful staff. Good food in restaurant downstairs. Pretty well maintained. Location is close enough to DC to take a cab if you want, but the metro was the way to go.

Give yourself plenty of time if you're going to the museums on the National Mall. We rushed through 4 of them, but you literally could spend 4-6 hours in each one if you want to see the whole museum, and it's worth it. And they're FREE by the way! And don't miss Ford's Theater (where Pres. Lincoln was assassinated). You can see it in less than an hour, and it's really neat if you like history.

A bad experience

I booked a room at the Sheraton because I had stayed there before and was always satisfied with their service. I checked into the hotel Saturday to attend a New Year's party. When we checked in there were people standing in the hallway that tried to invite themselves in our room. One of my friends left to get some ice and the ice maker wasn't working. As we dressed we heard people arguing and a male and female were having a domestic situation. We left the hotel and returned to around 4:00 am and they were still loud. People were arguing and continued to have disagreements. I called the front desk and reported the issue after I heard a female crying and a man screaming at her to get out of his room. The front desk said they were sending security but I never saw them. The disagreement was so bad that we didn't believe it was a good idea to leave out of the room to get breakfast. I hope they didn't disturb other parties in the hotel but I didn't get any sleep and I had a 3 hour drive back to Emporia Virginia. I do not feel that I should have to pay $120 for this hotel stay. Nice hotel

The room was very comfortable and the view was awesome. The staff was very good, especially the shuttle service. The only downside was the walls seemed to be a little thin.
