I'll be staying here again

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Le Meridien. It was only 2 nights, but I was very comfortable. The only slight downside is the restaurant and bar areas are under renovation, which is to be completed by spring. I had breakfast, but not dinner, so I can't really comment on the food -- breakfast was breakfast. Cal Roth

Good place but beware of dirty towels

I came back with some funny skin ailment that could only come from the towels in the hotel. The staff is friendly, though.

Cozy in a modern setting

I was working in DC, but wanted a great hotel,at a savings. Le Meriden in Arlington was perfect. Great decor, wonderfully clean, and modern. The hotel has a wonderful aroma..somewhere between sandalwood, and fresh linen...

Recommended by me : the angry ethnic

The room was nice clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was spotty but free. On Friday they had a happy hour with free wine in the main lobby very cool. Staff was decent and at times friendly (keep in mind I am the angry ethnic). The Sunday brunch buffet was way sub-par (except the coffee was good but I had to ask for a refills). Omelets or eggs to order were an extra $4 and $2 respectively; never seen that before. Overall I liked the unique décor of the room and main lobby so for the price I would definitely recommend.

Adequate

This was a clean hotel with adequate room facilities, although the place is a bit shabby with age. Most hotels put a brochure in the room informing the guest of their facilities, but my room didn't have one. When I asked at the desk, the clerk said there was supposed to be such a booklet, but didn't seem to know what to do about it, so asked me what it was that I specifically wanted. I wanted to know what the hotel's amenities were, but I never received any information. (A hotel should have this on hand, I would assume.) Also, what information there was in the room (on rates, etc.) was quite dog-eared. So the place is a clean, adequate hotel to stay in, but they're sloppy on details. I would stay there again, but not for the rate I was charged.

Trip to an unexpectedly warm Washington DC

We went days after the storm. The cab driver could not recognize the hotel name and we had to provide the address. It is walking distance to the metro station, although the escalator steps were pretty long. The room seemed to be clean and smelled good, but strangely a bath towel on the rack had stains on it. We use it as a floor towel instead. The mattresses felt uneven like they were slept on by very heavy people before. The hotel staff were very friendly.
