Exceptionally ewww

The hotel location was fine, convenient to the convention I was visiting. However, once I checked in, I was initially greeted with this odd cheap perfume that is often used by hotels to cover smells. Should have noted the problem at that time. Then, I stepped outside, I noticed that the room right next to me, the one that I shared a wall with had yellow tape... like caution tape across it. It was either pests or a murder scene. I dont know which one, and I am not sure I want to know. I asked the front desk person the next day and I was told that while she wasnt sure, she is sure that "maintenance" was probably handling an issue. Next time, I will spend the extra money and not use a Days Inn.

There is an excellent taco shop near by. Look for the closest 7-11. It almost shares a parking lot.

Graduation & sightseeing trip.

This Hotel needs cleaned up. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel, and just need a place to crash, this would work. (no bed bugs) If after a long day walking, and you need to hit the hot tub and relax in your room, this ISN'T it,

Reasonable

While reasonably comfortable it appears to be an older hotel. Expensive but in line with other places in the area. Hard to work in room due to low lighting. Staff was friendly and helpful.

DC getaway

This hotel was a great price for the location. It's no frills, but is clean and the free shuttle to and from the metro station really makes a difference.

A short trip into Arlington will get you some great kabob houses, coffee shops, small restaurants and even a whole foods. You don't have to go in to DC for a nice meal.

Days Inn Arlington

The hotel offered shuttle to the Metro, which is a HUGE benefit in the DC area. Biggest issue was very thin walls between rooms. Seems headboards were butted next to each other and we could hear "everything" going on in the bed in the next room. Staff was freindly, continental was a bit below what we exoected, Hotel was clean, but we got what we paid for. No place to walk to for shopping and very limited restuarants within walking distance.

Worth the price

For the price, it was pretty great. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was always cleaned when we got back in the evening, and there weren't any bugs! The location was in the middle of nowhere, but the shuttle takes you to the metro (once an hour, but not at noon or 1 ... ). There was also some sort of military academy across the street? We heard gunshots all morning. Not a pleasant thing to wake up to. All in all, it's a good deal.

Worst hotel ever

I decided to stay in this hotel due to its relative short distance to Washington atraction and due to its price (80 dls per day). It has been the worst hotel pick Ive done in my life. In general, ammenities are old, filthy and cleaning is very superfitial (pretty much they will only make your bed). Furthermore, nearest metro station is 1 mile away from the hotel, which adds at least another 20 dls per day of taxi that takes you to and from the metro station. Also, staff is kind of rude. If you, like myself, are looking for a cheap and relatively near to the atractions hotel, do yourself a favor and spend an extra 15/20 dls per day upgrading to another hotel.

Unhappy with [...] Days Inn [...]

Hotel itself was OK. But, I was very unhappy with how the charges were handled.[...]We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and Days Inn offers a considerable discount to customers that stay more than two days. That discount was NOT passed on to me[...]
