Crystal Gateway Marriott

After staying for 2 nights without problems, on the 3rd night our TV wasn't working. They sent up a repairman within about 20 minutes. He worked diligently for over an hour but wasn't able to repair it. The management immediately offered to switch rooms or discount our parking. Their customer service was memorable.

In DC to attend football game. Access to two metro lines via underground mall. Very convenient. Close to great restaurants or just a short metro ride to DC restaurants. Hotel was quiet, immaculate, well-appointed. Staff knowledgeable, friendly. Kept our bags while we went to game and we retrieved them on the way to the airport. Breakfast buffet a little pricey, but the food was good. Flawless experience.

internet was free in the lobby- didn't tell me that- charged 12.95 each day for internet in the room???

Hotel was nice with a convenient location. Paying 20+ per day to park was outrageous. Room wasn't the cleanest and help wasn't the freindliest. was kicked out of the bar area while eating because the busboy was leaving and wanted to clean our section. Front desk help was OK, but nobody was exceptionally freindly or pleasant. Beds had candy on top of the mattress and under the sheets.

This is a full service hotel situated directly above a large underground shopping center with easy indoor access to the Metro, one stop from Reagan National Airport. Although there are shops and restaurants within walking distance, as well as the hotel restaurants and bar, we never saw most of them as we spent nearly all of our time touring DC. Having safe, close access to the Metro as well as shops for incidentals, makes this my favorite hotel in the DC area. The bed was very comfortable and the staff attentive but not intrusive. The room was spacious and clean. We ate only one breakfast at the hotel as there are many more interesting places in the district to eat. You cannot find a more convenient location for exploring DC. My only complaint was the $12.95/day charge for WiFi access (includes unlimited long distance) but I was able to access somone's unsecured network connection. I think it is outrageous that upscale hotels continue to charge for internet access when most budget establishments include it in the room rate.

I was in D.C. for pleasure, great hotel for cleanliness and quietness.

I thought I was the only one on the entire floor but when I woke there were newpapers outside the rooms across and next to me. Never heard a door close or water running.

I feel that my personal experience was great. But the staff could have been a little more friendly at the desk when I checked in. The room was very nice and clean and the hotel in general was fabulous. I had a nice stay and the location was fine too.

The stay experiance was a very pleasent one. I do look forward to coming back again and visiting Crystal City Gateway Marriott.
