Affordable stay
We spent three nights during the week in April. It was less than we expected but not terrible. There were no amenities in the room, e.g., microwave, fridge, iron, hair dryer, pen/paper, Gideon bible. The staff was helpful, answering every question politely, though never offering any information (I had to ask about details of the continental breakfast.) The breakfast itself consisted of a choice of Frosted Flakes or Honey Bunches of Oats (with Almonds!), mini-bagels, white bread (toaster), Little Debbie Honey Buns and Oatmeal Cream pies, orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea. The room was cleaned every day, our bed made and towels replaced. There were lots of channels on the T.V., but no HBO. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the metro, and a couple of blocks north of bustling King Street.

Short walk from hotel
Take the King Street Trolley (it's free!) along King Street to see all the shops and Old Town Alexandria. It runs every 15 minutes from 11:30am-10pm.

Nice staffs, but bad room.
This is my first time to leave a review. I stayed there for one night on my business trip. My room was on the first floor (yeah, I thought so at first..). When I walked into the room. The room was smelly...so smelly.... it smelled like mildew... I was busy to go to a conference so that I just wanted to open the window a little bit. Then, I found that my room was half underground. In the bathroom, I actually found mold on soap holder. the carpet did not look clean enough to walk without shoes or socks. I am not a picky person and know how much I can expect from the amount of money that I paid. But, over $100 was way too much for this hotel. The Staff was nice and professional (when I ask a hair dryer, he gave me one...), the continental breakfast was nothing special (milk, cereal, orange juice, coffee, bagels, etc.), it was 7-blocks away from the metro stop. Worst experience ever, not going to return.

This hotel is in a great location. It is a 15-minute walk to the closest metro station and a 15-minute walk to the center of Old Town.

Low Budget
The Hotel location is great. The management also very helpful. However, the room they put us in was near the street and very norisey. This Hotel is best for the younger person.

Economical in Alexandria
This small motel is located in the heart of the Old Town portion of Alexandria and yet is extremely economical. The amenities are the minimum but I was comfortable and felt secure. There is free lot parking which is at a premium in Alexandria. All in all a great experience for the price.

Weekend Getaway
Our overall experience was a positive one. The location was fantastic, the hotel itself was comfortable enough. We did have a few issues with hot water and we had to ask for toilet paper. Twice. But we would stay there again.

Short walk from hotel
The hotel was about 5 blocks from King Street. King Street provides about a mile of great shopping and dining. We ate at a lovely little Italian restaurant called Bertucci's. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was fantastic. We had a wonderful, cozy, intimate dining experience.

Good location, bad room
I was looking for an affordable place with free parking close to the metro and downtown Alexandria. For that, the hotel was perfect. The room, however, was very old with used carpets, and loose electrical outlets. It needed a good paint. They used some sort of chlorine bleach to clean the bathroom with a strong smell. I'm quite flexible and easygoing, but I felt that the room was not good.

Perfect Location
Although the motel is old and could use a facelift, the king size bed was comfortable and the room clean - though small. The biggest plus for this motel is the location - walk to Old Town Alexandria and minutes from Washington D.C. So considering the price, it is a good value - just don't expect too much in "the comfort" of a nice room.

A good hotel, nothing fancy, but good value for the DC area
Room is clean, bed is comfortable, shower and TV work. For the price, it is a great value in the DC area.
