attractive lodging
Great hotel in residential neighborhood with shuttle 10 minutes to town. ABC and supermarket next door. Generally helpful staff and quiet rooms. Sitting room and wet bar made entertaining and relaxing easy. Go for breakfast across street at place voted #1 in Alexandria. Yummy food.

Very pet friendly;
We stayed with our Aireddale terrier and the hotel is very accomodating to pets; there is a dog day carre center within a short walking distance. Also, very close to Old Town. I will stay there again!

Great R&R Retreat
The rooms and especially the bed were very comfortable. I had my Pug, Otis with me and he was given the royal treatment with a dog bed and doggie package. We were never given that before at three star or under hotel. The location is awesome, by it being only three blocks from a park on the Potomac, a grocery store a block away and shopping center a block away also. The continuous shuttle service to Reagan National and King Road Metro Center was convenient, because it afforded us to leave our car in the garage at the hotel, while seeing Washington, DC via the Metro. Washington can be one of the most difficult cities in terms of parking. I definitely would recommend the Sheraton to anyone looking to stay in Washington, D.C. area for its convenience, service and price. For the price it can't be beat.

Shopping, dining and recreational areas are all a short walk away from the hotel. Shuttle service to the Washington Metro makes it even more convenience and a time saver.

Quiet, elegant and warm
The Old Town Sheraton is my favorite Alexandria hotel - a town I select whenever I needed to visit DC or the Pentagon. Close to the pubs and restaurants of Old Town Alexandria yet very quiet location and close to coffee shops and large grocery store. The rooms are really suites - four star bed and suite at three star rates.

My review of Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria
We often come to Washington D.C. to visit our grandchildren. Eventhough the hotel is not close by their home, we found the location of the hotel which is a couple of blocks from the GW parkway and the ease of self-parking overnight a great plus. Of-course we always get a good night sleep in a verycomfortable bed. We enjoyed walking by the water front a few blocks away. There are many restaurants close by and we found the service at the hotel dining room where we had breakfst very friendly and attentive.

There are many clothing shops (Talbot Ann Taylor, Gap etc)near by and is within walking distance. There are several food stores around also, e.g. Trader Joe.

Love this hotel!
I will stay here again! The waitstaff in the restaurant served me at 2 pm--they weren't due to open until 4 but they accommodated me anyway. The rooms are spectacular by business standards. And free Att Wifi for iphone users! Doesn't get much better than that.

Old traveler (I'm 71)
Business Trip to DC staying in Alexandra
Had to wait a couple of hours for room but that was no big deal as I walked to a near by restaurant for lunch, then still no room so walked to Old Town and back (they would have taken me in the shuttle) a little over two miles round trip, came back and room was ready.

Good Times
The Hotel is very nice. It's kind of far from the Metro Station but not horrible. The staff is wonderful.

Perfect short trip in charming Hotel !
It was just an awsome short trip to Washington D.C. and the stay in the hotel was outrageous ! a two room , charming Hotel suite that a booked for a reasonnable price . It was just perfect
