Absolutely perfect!
I had a meeting at a large WA Harbor hotel, but it was full. I found the Lorien on line & loved the pictures. We arrived after 8, but the fantastic staff still invited us for cocktails in the lobby living room. We had wine & a delicious rum, cider, & fresh whipped cream drink! The entire hotel was beautiful, but of course, it was the staff that made it perfect! I can't wait to go back!

Buisness accomodation
Truly a wonderful experiience. The hotel is very on point with the design ,tranquil and low key. The rooms are spacious ,yet cozy. The location is ideal as it is in the heart of Alexandria and gives you many options for both dining and shopping. Although I did not choose to eat in the hotel, the menu did look very appetizing and pretty reasonable.

The I Want To Come Back To Hotel !!!!!!!
This hotel has great management and employees that are friendly, smart, and customer oriented. We stayed one night for a two day weekend getaway in Alexandria. This place is very modern, but practical when it comes to making your stay comfortable. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and there were roses and balloons placed in the room after we came back from dinner. Oh Yeah, I got some brownie points!!! There was a misplacement early in the stay, and we were "offered the moon" to make up for it. It was nice to know there is a free steam room in the hotel spa for guests. We'll take advantage of the spa next time. Don't forget about the evening wine reception for all guests. After you check into the hotel, preferable on a Saturday, head down King Street and take in all the hot spots at the end of the street or neat places as you approach the end. We had been on King Street before, but we didn't know it was even better as you go toward the end. Alexandria is great for an all day Saturday and Sunday get away for locals who may drive back the next day on Sunday. If visiting D.C., This hotel provides you a wonderful stay in a real cozy historic town along the famous King Street. You're also in walking distance or a free trolley ride to the blue line subway (metro) that takes you straight into D.C. and lets you off at the National Mall for the Smithsonian and National Memorials. This is an “I want to come back to hotel.”

My Nirvana
I was there to visit my granduncle and his family. My room, the view, and staff were perfect. The front desk staff was super friendly and went out of his way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I wish I had stayed longer. There is always a next time.

Modern, stylish, with friendly, helpful staff
A nice hotel in a nice location. Modern and up-to-date accommodations. Walls are a little thin, as noisy neighbors were quite audible. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Unbeatable location for the price.
Great, convenient location for touring the D.C. and Northern Virginia Area. Very easy parking throughout Alexandria and easy acess to all hignways made it a great taking-off point each day by car; and the two block proximity to the Metro made it very easy to also get around all of D.C.. The Lorien's Restaurant was also very, very good (nice courtyard dining, too); and the daily free wine-tasting 'happy hours' were very welcome.

Great hotel
I highly recommend this hotel for a great night in Old Town. Walking distance to nightlife, and restaurants. We are already planning our next night out in Old Town because of this hotel. The beds are beyond comfortable, and the amenities provided are very high quality.

Nice Hotel But............
My wife and I stayed there 3 days while touring DC. Great location for easy access to Metro Train station. Hotel was very nice but the room we had was on the small side. Also, the hotel did not have a sundries store and we were forced to use the mini bar or room service for snacks or bottled water. Breakfast at the hotel was $50.
