Just needs a few things...
Overall experience was good and slept comfortably in the bed, which is key. Only complaints would be that a few of the light switches, including the one upon entering the room, were not operational and I had to manually turn on a free-standing lamp upon entering the room. Only other feature I was less than satisfied with was the shower water pressure which was really light.

May Vacation
This hotel surpassed our expectations. The staff was VERY friendly, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast every morning was a great way to start our day. Shuttle to/from the metro was very accommodating for our journeys. We would definitely stay there again. Dining room,full kitchen,living room and bed room with a king sized bed.

underwhelmed
we were not impressed by this facility, the room was adequate but the air conditioning was not working in the hotel and the room was quite uncomfortable for the first two days of our stay, The complimentary breakfast was marginal at best and the hotel staff did not bother to clean the tables or empty the trash, which overflowed the containers. lastly, we forgot somes items in the room; I called the hotel twice today and they have yet to return my call.This was not a good experience. I will never stay at a Hawthorn or Windam hotel again.

Quick Getaway
Excellent accommodations. Easy access to all areas of interest. Not far from Washington, D.C. The room was in perfect condition upon arrival and the view of the stream across the street from our 5th floor room was excellent and calming. The experience made for a nice quick getaway. We actually had other reservations in D.C. and which we had been able to cancel them and stay here longer.

Holiday vacation
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The complimentary breakfast and dinner were very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was very quiet. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower and maintenance changed the shower head very quickly. Unfortunately that didn't help very much, but I appreciated that they were willing to do everything possible to help me enjoy my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself seems rather old but once inside the room it felt much better. Very large room with separate kitchen and bedroom! Decent breakfast and dinner included. Staff was very friendly.

Good for business travel
Stayed four nights here because I was working in the area. I would book it again. It is great for business travel- easy access to Interstate 95-Plenty of shopping and restaurants fairly close by. Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning presented some healthy options and was just enough to tie me over until lunch. An affordable option in Alexandria.
