pleasurable stay
The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was a little tight but very clean. Room came with a fridge, microwave and coffeepot. Made it very conventient for leftovers from eating out. Room was cleaned and restocked daily. They had a continental breakfast every morning from 6-9:30. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is even a pizza/sub shop on the bottom floor. Stores and restuarants are just a few blocks away. Only a few minutes from DC and downtown Alexandria and about 1 hour from Baltimore. Would stay here again.

Great location for the price
Very pleased to be able to check in early. The elevators were being repaired and there was a lot of clutter in the hallways from those repairs (and it looked like from a few others too) Was pleasantly suprised by the cleanliness of the room. Nothing super fancy- just clean and comfortable.

Long walk from hotel
Metro Station is within walking distance only if you are accustomed to taking long walks. Not for people short on stamina (especially with temps in the high 90's) and I wouldn't recommend this trek for families with young children

Parking at metro is free on the weekend and after walking to see all the sights a ride back to the hotel was very nice

Not too bad for a business trip
For the price in Washington DC area. This is a good buy. Not too far away from the Alexandria old town and a short drive to Metro station

Awesome Value
It was close enough to the National Mall area and yet still save quite a bit of money. Other hotels we looked at across the river that were very close to the National Mall wanted 200 plus per night. Days Inn was average of 75 per night for a 4 day weekend. making this hotel and awesome Value!

Still aching
Hope you like hard beds
Location was good, close to Huntington Metro Sta. With parking. Specifically asked for a comfortable soft newer bed. Got a piece of plywood with a sheet. Room was small, bathroom was uncomfortably small. Breakfast was good. Property clean and kept up. Room smelled stale/old. Felt it was overpriced. Won't stay again. My back is still yelling.

Great value!
I was very satisfied with the hotel. The price was good and the breakfast was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. We had no problems whatsoever. The room was clean and freshly painted. It had an odor when you first entered that you got used to right away like it may have been a smoking room and it lingered in the carpet? Also the elevator smelled like oil, but it is only 3 stories and the stairs were the most convenient when not carrying suitcases. We had a van so we didn't use the metro, but others in our party did and had no complaints about walking to a stop. I fully recomend this hotel to anyone not looking to spend a lot of money on a fancy hotel. We stayed four nights and would definitely stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
There are so many things to do in the DC area that are free! If you need to park you will pay for that unless you can get a spot on "The Mall" or are downtown on Sundays. We toured 7 days, drove each day and only paid $21 total for parking. All activities we did were free of charge!
