Days Inn Alexandria

Seriously... this is a budget hotel, but roaches in the rooms and bad customer service are not acceptable. This was the second time I gave this Days Inn a try. Both times, baby roaches ran the place. The tv didnt work one time, and the maintenance guy was as rough as they get, even slammed the door behind him after waiting for a tip he didnt get for his atrocious customer service. The front desk staff does not care about the guests, they are usually busy chatting on their cell when you go on. The breakfast items are always empty, as the one guy who is supposed to monitor the thing is flirting with the guests... Seriously days inn??

The motel is showing its age and is not kept up. TV service had very limited channel selection, no remote, and bad reception. Light switches did not all work. I actually had to unscrew a light bulb to turn out the light next to the bed. There is no microwave or frig in the room, which is now fairly standard especially in a vacation town like the DC area. The part of town is a little bit low end also, although easy access to downtown with a Metro station about 2 miles away. Would not stay there again at any price and cannot recommend it.

I got this room for $65 and it was perfect for that price range. Its only 10 miles from Downtown Washington and has lots of food joints around. Room was pretty clean and very descent. I had seen very bad reviews while booking the hotel and I was skeptical but found it very good. Free breakfast is an added advantage. You will just get bread, butter, coffee, juice and fruits. But what else do you expect in $65 :) I would highly recommend this place.

The hotel is checking in at 3 PM although they will have to check-in at 2PM according to the Internet information. Staying in the hotel is not much of enjoyment as the furniture and TV are antiquated and the management seems to cut corners in all places (to compete with prices to get customers!). I would not say that it is a dump but a little above that. Hotel runs a shuttle to the Metro at stipulated intervals and timings, a convenience.

Poor internet connectivity, infact I was never able to connect. Rooms are ok. Nothing great.

location. No maid came to clean the room, dump trash or clean towels. Hole in the carpet. cigaret burn holes in the bedding. Very uncomfortable place to stay.

Thew location is horrible. If not because I prepaid the room and would not get my money back I would have left. The room was horrible, air conditioner only blew air, hot air. It was colder outside. Consider that people also live in this facility so you never know what your going to see there. Bathtub seems to have been painted several times and all of the paint is now coming off. Water kept running and making noise all night long. Had to close bathroom door to make noise go away. Please stay away.

The hotel is decent. However, don't expect much from the complimentary breakfast. I'd only recommend this hotel at the price of $59. Anything more, I'd suggest staying at another hotel.

keep complaining about bad side lights but no action. wi-fi internet not work. we also complain about this thing but they said to talk with internet provider. so funny. no iron and TV quality is also very bad.

Had to change room upon arrival due to bathroom door being busted, and roach in the bathroom. Shower had to be taken before 6am or the water was cold the rest of the day.When changed to other room there was another type of bug not sure what it was, but do have photos of it. The stopper for the bathtub was broken. The ice machine kept running out of ice. I have to say this is the worst place I have ever stayed in.
