Staybridge Suites SALT LAKE-WEST VALLEY CITY

We love going to this hotel! We give it 5 stars! Excellent pool, wonderful service, free breakfast and Tuesday thru Thursday free dinner.

We needed a suite since we were there with two teenagers, and I thought this place was great for the price. It shares a small waterpark with the adjacent Holiday Inn Express, but it was better suited to younger kids. The location has pluses and minuses. On the plus side, you can get a shuttle bus from the airport and it is close to the electric train. On the minus side, there is nothing in this area that isn't a chain -- stores, restaurants, you can find it all in your town. The rooms were very comfortable, the fitness center was nice, and there was plenty of parking. The free breakfast was fine, but you could tell everything came frozen out of packages -- I stuck with cereal and coffee.

We enjoyed our stay at the Staybridge suite. It was like a mini condo. However, they need to put more silverware in the kitchen. A service for 6 would have been more appropriate. Otherwise you have to wash a half loaded dishwasher.

Clean, big rooms. Kids had great time at pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is also a really nice theater room with a huge screen and big leather recliners. Everyone had a great time!

This was absolutley the best trip I have taken. With twins (boy and girl) at 14 months old and an 8 year old girl we were worried about having enough room for all of us in a hotel. Also, we were looking for a location that was affordable but that had a fridge and a microwave (seeing as the twins are still taking bottles at naps and bed). After hours of searching for a hotel on every website we could think of we decided to go with Staybridge because they had a kitchenette, a seperate bedroom with a king bed, and a couch that folds into a bed while also offering cribs at no charge to us. Considering we were with an 8 year old obviously a pool was a must and when I found that Stabridge (as well as Holiday Inn Express) had a miniature waterpark for their pool we decided to book our room. When we arrived the staff was wonderful and the public area of the hotel was beautiful. When we arrived at our room we were astounded at how much room there was and were amazed to find that there was even a dishwasher. When we asked about cribs at the front desk they were very helpful and we recieved one in our room almost right away, upon requesting another crib (if it was at all possible) the staff jumped on the phone right away to the Holiday Inn across the way and had another crib delivered, the amazing part was the manager was the one who delivered it. The pool area was amazing and had something for the whole family to enjoy. The only issue we had was getting proper directions to actually get to the hotel when we first arrived in Salt Lake. They are doing some construction around the hotel and being that the hotel is new Google maps showed the address as an empty lot. Despite a slight hassle in the beginning getting in and out after that was a breeze. We have decided that we will be using Staybridge for all of our family vacations to Salt Lake. Couldn't be happier with our stay. P.S. Be sure to get to breakfast early or it is a little crowded, but worth the wait. Also, I insist that anyone visiting with kids (of any age) should visit Discovery Gateway and the Aquarium, the kids were entertained and happy through both places and were tuckered making for a plesent trip back to the hotel.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, very modern and well decorated. The suite included a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, soap to wash the dishes. The bathroom was gorgeous with a sink area separate from the tub and toilet. This made getting dressed and ready a breeze in the mornings. The service at the hotel was absoltuely wonderful. The front desk responded quickly and the breakfast provided each day consisted of hot eggs/bacon/ham/sausage (this rotates) as well as waffles, toast, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. At night there is also free food for the social hour. The food is meal style and there is no need to buy supper Monday through Thursday (I believe these are the days). Overall, a fantastic experience. This hotel is near a lot of places to shop and eat. Also near the Interstates and main roads. It is about ten to fifteen minutes to Temple Square. The only thing that bothered me was the road construction all around. This is not the hotel's fault but it was not convenient. Beautiful view of the mountains from outside and from some of the room windows. New hotel and just nice. Way more than I expected, can't be beat.
