Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, West Valley City, UT

Spent 2 nights there in town on business. I don't usually write reviews unless I've had a extremely positive experience and extremely poor experience. I'll break down both. Positives: Staff was friendly Breakfast Buffet was decent Pool, even though I didn't use it, looked clean Lobby was comfortable and inviting Easy Access to major roads and airport Negatives: -False marketing on website - room looked nothing like what was pictured online -TV was an old school TV (CRT), and not a Flat screen as featured in the pictures online Bathroom was dirty - toilet clogged extremely easily -bath tub drain was extremely slow to the point that after a 10 min shower up to my ankles in water -shower water presure was like a leaky squirt gun -shelf next to the sink that housed the soaps and shampoos was dirty and stained -bed was extremely stiff and felt the springs push up against my ribs -thermostat was busted - was either to hot or too cold and did not regulate the temperature at all so had to either turn off or down after 15-20 mins, even waking up in the middle of the night due to the discomfort of either a freezing room or an oven. -Bed linens were dirty with stains and holes in them. -lamp knobs were busted, could not turn on 2 of the 4 lamps in the room. -carpet was extremely dirty and dingy. Summary Will definitely not stay there again and do not recommend staying there. I was only there to sleep and therefore had very little needs or expectations,however, the experience was extremely, grossly negative.

The rooms were awesome. Very confortable. Only down side was the fan in the room was a little loud.

Needed a place to stay before my early am flight. Room had a lot of holes pasted up and pretty bad lighting. Heater took nearly 45 minutes to kick in. Walls between rooms are extremely thin... Didn't get into bed until 11, by wasn't able to sleep until 2 due to noise next door. Called front desk four times to get it taken care of... And it was only taken care of because the fourth time I was going to leave but not without a refund. My worst stay anywhere. Not in the best area either... Waitress had a black eye. Not happy with my experience whatsoever.

When we got there there was a group of people smoking out front where we had to walk by.The person at the front desk talked very fast like trying to hurry you up and get you away from him.He was hard to understand.The beds were very hard and the walls had lots of spots were they had patch the walls from holes,big holes.

i enjoyed my stay. the room was clean and quite. glad i stayed at the country inn hotel.

Arrived after 11:00 and had to pay $23 for a taxi. Breakfast was good and the room was a good value.

Needed to simply spend the night. The hotel is clean, evening staff ok, morning staff very friendly. Breakfast must be the highlight of this place, i.e. good variety of foods and drinks.

One of the nicest motels I have ever stayed in. I have paid far more (including at some so-called "luxury" hotels) for far less. The never-empty cookie jar at the desk was a great plus. The only bad thing I can think of is they have feather pillows, which I am allergic to, but they did find me one non-feather pillow. They should stock more of the non-feather variety as I am sure that I am not the only one with this allergy.

Very good. the rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast had a very nice selection. You felt "at home".
