Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Golden Corral and Check A Rama are close (walking) and Cracker Barrel is a short drive. Down St George Blvd is the Iceberg with the best THICK shakes (don't order the regular unless you have an hour to finish it. The mini is more than enough. Tuachan is about 20 minutes away.

One of our favorites in St. George

This was our second stay at this Ramada Inn. I was so pleased with it the last time I didn't hesitate to stay here again. Loved the price for a king bed w/a sofa, frig., microwave, etc. It was a very large room but a bit dated. TV was not HD which was a little irritating and the channel guide in the room guest notebook wasn't accurate & the desk clerk didn't have an up to date one. Didn't care for the room heater/ac. Fan ran all night and I was still cold. Hard to figure out how to regulate the temp. One thing I did/do like is the dining room and breakfast. It's very large and sunny and the food was fresh w/ lots of variety. And they had plenty of bananas! Having stayed in two other hotels on this trip, that was a big plus since the others were forever running out of them. This was just an overnighter enroute home, so it was totally adequate and I'm sure we will stay here again. Freeway close, our favorite restaurants nearby, outlet mall right next door and beautiful views of St. George. Recommend it!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Golden Corral, Chuck-a-Rama, BrickOven, are just a short walk. There are just tons of fast food places within a 5 min. drive. Favorite Mexican place is Cafe Rio and it's straight west on St. George Blvd, just about 5 or 7 min. away.

Rmada St. George Utah

Stayed two nights in January, 2014. Average Hotel/Motel. Breakfast selection was limited. But for the price, it is OK. Very close to I15.

Like a time machine to the late 80's

I was shocked when I opened the door of my room and saw that it was old and shabby and looked nothing like the pictures I saw online. But, I was too tired to care, I just wanted a good night's sleep. However, I didn't get any sleep because of the night time construction happening on the nearby freeway overpass. It was so loud and close that it shook the building and rattled the windows all night long. Even the fan turned on high could not cancel out the back up beeping of the heavy machines. I realize that the hotel likely has no control over the construction, but if you're stay here is in the near future, beware! Along with the beeping outside, the smoke alarm in our room starting beeping at 2:00 am, and beeped every 30 seconds for the rest of the night because it had no battery. On the positive side, the mattress was really comfortable, but there was no way to get any sleep with all the noise inside and out. There are so many better options in St. George, I suggest booking somewhere else.

Very pleasant surprise

We travel through St. George several times a year but this was the first time we tried Ramada Inn. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this facility is. We did have a minor problem once we got into our room though. We had started unpacking and when I went to turn down my bed I discovered that the pillows, sheet, blanket, mattress cover and mattress were soaking wet! At first I thought the pillows were cold from the A/C, but once I pulled the sheets and blanket back, I realized that the mattress and everything was actually WET, as if someone had poured a pitcher of water on the bed. Sooo, I had to go back down to the desk, tell them and the receptionist immediately gave me the keys to the room next door to ours. We proceeded to move all our bags and hanging clothes next door to the chagrin of my husband. We travel with A LOT OF STUFF including 2 small full coolers. The new room was fine and the beds were dry and very comfortable. The hotel is obviously a bit dated with older model tubs and toilets but the A/C was fine as was the TV. I was most impressed with the dining room. Very spacious and had a nice view out to the pool and red cliffs. The menu was the standard fare that all the hotels offer these days, which didn't thrill me, but they had plenty of fresh bananas and cereal, yogurt and juices which we usually eat. They had the standard powdered scrambled eggs and huge link sausage but we didn't partake of them. The eggs just don't appeal to me. The sausage looked delicious. The location is terrific with many of our favorite restaurants within walking distance.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We love Golden Corral Buffet and it's just a short walk from the hotel. Also within walking distance are Chuck-A-Rama, Red Lobster, Chick-fil-A, Five Guys and more.
