Quick Trip

Hotel was dirty and the staff wasn't very friendly. Had to pay $15 more to get adjoining rooms, even though the # in my party didn't change (one night stay).

Not for the fussy

Needed a place to stay that was pet friendly, which was about the only criteria that was good. Room was moderately clean, wash clothes were dirty, towels were size of wash clothes, sheets were smaller than the bed. Bathtub was worn and not clean looking, but not too dirty. Pool was black with algae, spa had not been usable for a long time, and full of trash. Put up "do not disturb" sign because of cat in room, and came back from breakfast to find clean towels in room. People were friendly enough, but did not know the area or where anything was. [...] We were there for a family wedding so only needed a place to sleep and shower, so we really didn't care.

Many nice looking motels further into old town, and withing walking distance to restaurants. Made reservations because we couldn't find pet friendly on web, however, most motels advertised accepting pets, and about same rates as we paid.

Sub standard in every way

Had planned to soak in pool and hot tub after eleven hour drive. Pool was full of green scum. Hot tub was out of order. Trash cans in room had not been emptied--had tissues and remnants of old food. Found a bloody piece of tissue on my bed. Towels did not match and were frayed, old, and rough as sandpaper. Everything in the place was cheap to the max. When I complained, I was given a second room that had a refrigerator that didn't work. The employees I talked to barely spoke English and conversed between themselves in a foreign language, which felt very rude to me. However, they did try to be helpful, which I appreciated. The air conditioner was noisy and blasted air right on your head in bed. At breakfast, there were mini bagels, juice, and coffee. The internet was as advertised though and the sheets did smell nice! The neon sign out front advertised rooms for $33. I paid $44 on Orbitz and it was terrible. This was the worst motel experience I can remember in the last ten years.
