Rustic mountain resort at the western entrance of Zion National Park
The Pioneer Lodge in Springdale sits just blocks from the western entrance of historic Zion National Park. Perfect location for Zion exploring
The Pioneer Lodge is perfect place for exporing Zion. You are walking distance to the park and have small shops and dining options across the street. Rooms are somewhat small, but the purpose of Zion isn't to sit in the room all day. Price was very nice for a three day weekend of hiking and exploring.

Nice hotel
Very nice hotel a couple of miles from the entrance of Zion NP. There are many cafeterias, restaurants and small shops around. Location and instalation are OK

Good price. Good location.
The attraction is Zion, not the motels. Very reasonable prices for a resort area. Not a fancy hotel, but clean and convenient. An older motel but nicely remodeled rooms. Good beds. Frig and microwave included plus coffee maker. Very convenient location. Right in the middle of town. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Great location, great price
Nice, clean comfortable,spacious rooms. Very good price, all things considered. Some constant external noise that sounded like a fan or motor that was unresolved by staff. May bother those sensitive to such things.

Very comfortable, great location to Zion
Except for the fact the motel made a mistake and overbooked for the first night of our stay, and we were placed in an inferior motel for that night, the rest of our stay, in Pioneer Lodge, was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent for visiting Zion NP and their restaurant was very acceptable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The town of Springdale, UT is very nice to walk and shop in.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Take time to visit Zion NP and Bryce Canyons NP. Beautiful!!! We would recommend the fall because the temperatures were great, mid 70s - 80s during the day and mid 50s at night. Perfect!

Pretty Good Value
Good - Very close to Zion, free shuttle bus to the park, Pioneer restaurant has decent food. Bad - Most hotels will let you check in if you arrive early. This one will not. You have to wait until 3 PM.

Fantastic place to stay near Zion
The lodge is very close to the Zion National Park entrance. The Springdale Shuttle stops at six locations in Springdale. The Zion Canyon Shuttle loop stops at eight locations in the park. The transfer between loops is made at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. The rooms are good and neat also the staff is very friendly. If you get to Zion or nearby and search a affordable room this one is highly recommended.
