Great hotel at a reasonable price
This hotel had beautiful, clean, very comfortable rooms, and the location 3 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park was extremely convenient; and yet the price here is significantly lower than at most of the other hotels in town. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel at a reasonable price
This hotel was a lovely, small-to mid-size lodge with beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable rooms. The location is very convenient, just about 3 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park, and about 1 mile from the center of Springdale. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. The only slight disadvantage is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours; it closes from sometime around 8 or 9 PM until the next morning. I would most definitely stay here again.

Large rooms, great views
The last time we stayed in Zion NP, we stayed at the lodge in the canyon. It was beautiful but a bit overpriced and the rooms were not that great (the rustic cabin were completely unacceptable - almost no water pressure and very little hot water). We drove past the Driftwood Lodge several times on that trip and vowed to stay there next time. We were not disappointed. The lobby was very comfortable and the room was warm, large, well appointed, and we had a beautiful view on our patio. We stayed in February and the rate (about $115) was very reasonable for what we got. Centrally located near the best restaurants (e.g., the Bit n' Spur), it's hard to think of a better place to stay in Zion. Big thumbs up.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
Flying Monkey pizza is good but don't expect good service. No matter what time we've eaten at that place, the staff is always harried and sometimes rude. They need new management.

Pretty Good
Room had a fantastic view and very comfy bed. We expected that the outdoor pool would not be open in off-season but were disappointed that the hot tub was not open either. The room was freezing cold when we arrived, although there were very few guests at the time they did not convey the message I guess that our room needed to be ready for guests. Did not like the set up of the suite, made it so bathroom is not really accessible to the people staying on the sofa bed.

Zion
Hotel was great. The room was large, bathroom looked new and bedding was ample. Only negative was the room heater was too loud. Had to turn it off before retiring otherwise it would go on and wake us up. This was fine for 30 degree outside temperature.

Comfortable, Clean, Easy, Relaxing Stay
There are many cute hotels that you will drive by on Zion Park Blvd. once you exit the park. Driftwood's outward appearance isn't "cute", but the lobby and interior of the rooms speak for themselves as a hotel that stands above the rest. The remodel is apparent and accomodations were clean, cozy and comfortable. The kids enjoyed exploring the creek, grassy area, and also enjoyed time in the pool which felt perfect after a long day of traveling. It was also great that the Zion Park Trolley picks up right across the street. We would definitely stay here again on our way to Park City.

Incredible service
The Driftwood Lodge was fantastic and staff were friendly and accommodating. The extra money for the canyon view suite was well worth it. Room was clean, comfortable and stylish with all the modern amenities. The hot tub was great after a long hike. Hotel is located on the free shuttle line that takes you to Zion and points in between, so leave your car at the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel, Parallel 88, is delicious and staff are wonderful. We will definitely go back.

nice place
The staff was pleasant, the room was comfortable. The pool is small but nicely heated and has a beautiful view so we had a good time swimming. This hotel is not the closest to the park entrance but that doesn't matter a bit because the town shuttle (free, friendly, clean) stops right in front of the hotel every ten minutes from 6 a.m. or so until 10 or 11 p.m. Springdale is a small town with great restaurants and the park is gorgeous. We would definitely come here again. drawback: (the kids would have liked a dvd player in the room)
