Area description
Both the National Park and Springdale have ample activities, from hiking and sightseeing, or just taking in the relaxed country pace, to mountain biking trails and horse back tours. Open year round, the lodge plays host to travelers from around the world. One of the best discoveries in Zion is our off-season. As leaves begin to fall, the canyon opens up, exposing a point of view that summer never reveals. In winter, the sun is warm, the air is clear and crisp, and the crimson peaks are lightly frosted in snow. That is one of the best times for photographing Zion. Our long spring is warm and colorful, with the leaves returning early, and cactus and wildflowers blooming everywhere. During your stay at the Driftwood, day trips into the scenic Grand Circle of southwestern Utah are simply breathtaking. The Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes are an easy drive

Zion

Hotel was great. The room was large, bathroom looked new and bedding was ample. Only negative was the room heater was too loud. Had to turn it off before retiring otherwise it would go on and wake us up. This was fine for 30 degree outside temperature.

Comfortable, Clean, Easy, Relaxing Stay

There are many cute hotels that you will drive by on Zion Park Blvd. once you exit the park. Driftwood's outward appearance isn't "cute", but the lobby and interior of the rooms speak for themselves as a hotel that stands above the rest. The remodel is apparent and accomodations were clean, cozy and comfortable. The kids enjoyed exploring the creek, grassy area, and also enjoyed time in the pool which felt perfect after a long day of traveling. It was also great that the Zion Park Trolley picks up right across the street. We would definitely stay here again on our way to Park City.

Incredible service

The Driftwood Lodge was fantastic and staff were friendly and accommodating. The extra money for the canyon view suite was well worth it. Room was clean, comfortable and stylish with all the modern amenities. The hot tub was great after a long hike. Hotel is located on the free shuttle line that takes you to Zion and points in between, so leave your car at the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel, Parallel 88, is delicious and staff are wonderful. We will definitely go back.

nice place

The staff was pleasant, the room was comfortable. The pool is small but nicely heated and has a beautiful view so we had a good time swimming. This hotel is not the closest to the park entrance but that doesn't matter a bit because the town shuttle (free, friendly, clean) stops right in front of the hotel every ten minutes from 6 a.m. or so until 10 or 11 p.m. Springdale is a small town with great restaurants and the park is gorgeous. We would definitely come here again. drawback: (the kids would have liked a dvd player in the room)

Driftwood Lodge - great location to Zion

The Driftwood Lodge was a fine choice when visiting Zion National Park. The interior was a bit old but the room was spacious and clean. There was shuttle service to the park right in front of the hotel.
