great location
The hotel room we stayed in was very nice. The hotel had a breakfast buffet with fabulous food and great variety. However, getting a table was a looong wait. The breakfast management staff is very ill-managed for such a fine feast. The spa area, specifically the steam room is in need of thorough fungus cleaning with bleach. The pool and whirl pool are fabulous. The valet staff is very well managed, prompt and friendly. When we checked out, there was a resort fee surprise awaiting us. This should have been disclosed.

Great lodgings, beware hidden resort fee
Hotel experience was great, arrived at restaurant a bit late and staff was kind of snippy but otherwise all other staff and service was excellent. Beware, if you book through [...]you will be charged a $20 per day resort fee by the hotel in addition to your package price.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Many skiers will find Alta more appealing for their ski adventures, especially if you are beginner/intermediate level. Much more trails and area and less steep for those still getting their legs.

Loved the Cliff lodge
My wife and I stayed here for a New Year's ski getaway. We loved the ski-in, ski-out convenience. Getting to the hotel from SLC airport was a breeze - easier than flying to Denver and going to a resort. The resort had everything one would need for four days. We'd recommend steering clear of the Aerie sushi bar. Aside from the sushi, we were quite pleased with the restaurant offerings. We'd highly recommend going on the snowmobile tour if you're looking for a break from skiing. We also loved the fact that their are three hottubs surrounding their heated pool - which were the perfect way to end a day on the slopes.

Not as good as expected - disappointed.
Checked in and the staff was friendly. Room was very dated (polyester comfortors, etc.) and the window in the bathroom isn't for everyone! Off season, the hot tub was great. Had the entire pool to ourselves. Upon check-out they informed us we had to pay an additional "resort fee" ($13) on top of what we had paid for the hotel. This was NOT disclosed upon reserving the room through [...].

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
We loved being able to look out our large window and see the pines and the mountain. The room was large and well maintained. The staff were very helpful. Many activities to do at the resort. Food prices were a little high but not uncommon at a resort like this.

Short walk from hotel
Come prepared for fun. There is horseback riding, ATV tours, alpine slide, zip line, etc. in the summer. Bring pants and a jacket because it does get chilly at night, especially at the top of the tram.
